Every Woman 2017 Letter

 Dear Writer and or Artist,

First of all, I would like to thank thank you so much for looking at my letter! I hope that you will have fun writing any of my requests. I like a wide variety of fic, and I'm a huge multi-shipper. While I've highlighted general likes and dislikes, I'm always interested in new interactions between my favorite characters. If you are wondering "Can I write it this dark/this fluffy/this different/this silly/this...this" the answer is yes. If it's not in my DNWs, please take it in whatever direction you like. I love Mass Effect for its complex characters and setting. The societies in Mass Effect are NOT perfect or simple. There are so many female characters to choose from, and I like them all for different reasons: Ashley's spirituality and focus on her family and her homeland make me a part of the Ash Squad, Female Shepard's growth between soldier, super-soldier, and savior; Miranda's perfection vs. her barrenness and ice-queen facade; Kasumi's focus on revenge and memories; Liara's rather complex relationship with Shepard and her mother; Samantha's trial by fire - well trial by Apocalypse, really; Tali's patriotism and cultural identity; Nyreen's...well, Nyreen just deserved better. I have many Shepards that you can use if you would like, or you can make up a custom-Shepard or use default Jane if you'd prefer. Note: For Shepard & Miranda and Shepard & Liara, I am fine with ship fic or art and gen.

Prompts:

Ashley Williams:

  • Anything focusing on how Ash deals with her faith during either the hunt for Saren or the Reaper war. How does she make peace with her belief in (a) god with the horrors that she sees? Or, for that matter, her CO coming back to life? (I am not particular on what faith you wish to explore for her!) 
  •  If Ash was left behind on Virmire, I'd love to see something she might have left behind for her family, Shepard, Kaiden, etc...especially if it's something for someone unexpected.
  • Ash bonding with the alien squaddies! She says Tali is like a sister to her, but we never get to see them interact very often. Would love to see her hanging out with Wrex or Garrus as well. Liara doesn't seem to be someone she interacts with much, sadly, so would love seeing something between them there, especially between ME2 and ME3.
  • NSFW: I'd also love a "first time with an alien" fic or art with Ash and one of the alien crew-mates.
  • Ashley and her sisters and how they keep in contact during the Reaper war. Whether you consider her sisters to be fellow crewmates, old squadmates, or her biological sisters, is up to you; I'd be interested in seeing any interpretation.
  • Post-Canon, how does Ashley cope with the loss of Kaiden (and/or Shepard)?

EDI:

  • I'm very interested in EDI's growing identity through the three games. I'd love to see something that charts her journey through the three times she meets Shepard.
  • EDI and TIM/Brooks/Cerberus! How did EDI come to find herself in the "employ" of Cerberus? How does she feel about it? Does she care?
  • EDI's relationship with Joker - pranks they played on one another, times their developing relationship made it awkward, how to have a first date when your partner is a self-conscious android, etc.
  • EDI's relationship with Traynor - I'd really be interested in where this could go. How does EDI react to this young human woman expression admiration/sexual interest in her? Voice kink just seems built for these two, and I'd definitively love NSFW fic or art for this prompts.
  • EDI talking with Tali/Legion; it's clear after Tali's recruitment that she doesn't approve of the use of AI, and Legion is another type of AI, one with a more hive-minded identity than EDI. Would love to see her talk with, get to know, etc. either of them.
  • EDI and the Reapers. What does she think of them, of their arguments? As a fellow synthetic, does she find them more relatable than the organic squaddies do? I'd particularly love to see EDI as the last survivor of the allies in a refusal ending - what does she do, thousands of years down the line, when so many organics are extinct?

Female Shepard

  • I'd love to see how Shepard feels about her unintentional progression toward becoming the savior of humanity; how does she feel about becoming spectre/Cerberus' Lazarus, or the final hope of humanity against the Reapers? How do people view her? Does she miss her more private life, or is she excited by the new opportunities this gives her?
  • I'd love to see something with Shepard's family. How do her parents/siblings feel about her? Obviously this would vary a lot re: Shepard's background. Which you chose is up to you, but I'd love to see something about Shepard and her home life - which isn't really ever referenced that much.
  • Shepard's post-canon life, regardless of the ending. What is the legend of the Shepard 500 years down the line?  What do the academic texts say about her?
  • Shepard & her mentors. Shepard and Anderson seem to go back a ways, and I'd love to see how they met, how their relationship changes over time. Or Shepard and another N7 in Andromeda -  have they met? What happened? Or perhaps an OC character?
  • Shepard and the Shepard VI, and how said Shepard VI is used in the Normandy once Shepard buys a copy.

Kasumi Goto

  • I felt like we never really got to use Kasumi for what she is great for - heists! I'd love to see Kasumi having her talents on display, whether in a mission for Shepard & co, a solo mission on her own, or a mission helping with the Reaper effort in ME3.
  • Of all the characters able to break Shepard out, it always bugged me a bit that Kasumi didn't even try. I'd love to see her sneak in a visit with Shepard in jail, even if Shepard doesn't chose to walk away.
  • NSFW: Kasumi playing around with one of her lovers using her stealth skills. I'm not picky about who her lover is, but massive bonuses if this occurs in public and the partner has to keep quiet about it.
  • I'd really love to see something with Kasumi bonding with some of the other crew mates on the Normandy - after all, she's lost a lot, but so has half the crew. She always seems so supportive of whatever LI that Shepard picks that I can't help but wonder how she gets along with them. And she does seem to live in the room with the drinks, after all...
  • Kasumi as an agent of Liara's during the Reaper war. She's not the most famous thief, but she's a good one, and Liara appreciates discretion almost as much as she appreciates  information. How do these two get along? How do they work together - or do they not?

Liara T'Soni

  • Liara and her mother seem to have a whole metric ton of issues, and Benezia seems to be on her mind a lot in ME3. I'd love to see a bit of introspection on Liara's part about Benezia; how does she feel about her mother's legacy, in the end? Does her association with Saren taint it? How does she feel about her mother basically running away with her, never exposing her to her father (Aethyta)?
  • Liara also seems to have a super-complex relationship with Shepard. She may be Shepard's lover or friend, but she also gave their body to Cerberus and had a direct hand in their (potentially unwilling) resurrection. It speaks of someone being unable to let go of someone - how did Liara get so into Shepard? How does she deal with the fact that Shepard will never be able to live as long as she does? What does Liara think of Shepard in a control or synthesis ending, where Shepard choses to die but also lives on, in a way?
  • Liara searched for artifacts of Prothean society and obviously she read into them her ideals for what their society was: peaceful, complex, full of art and culture. And while the latter two may be true, it's obvious that Javik is not what she expected. How does Liara reconcile the difference between what she thought the Protheans were and what they are? How does she view Javik?
  • A day in the life of Liara as the shadow broker. She has a lot of information at her hands - what does she do with it? Does she ever find out things she wishes that she didn't know?
  • NSFW: Liara's partner uses the knowledge of her spying on them to put on quite a show. Whoever you want as her lover is  your choice!  May or may not involve their lover with another character - if you use this route, I would prefer Liara approving of this development rather than straight cheating. I do not have a preference on who Liara is shipped with if you choose this prompt.

 Miranda Lawson

  • Miranda's such an interesting contrast of characterizations: loyal, but analytical, perfect but barren, hardened but surprisingly naive in some (emotional) areas. I'm particularly interested in Miranda's views of motherhood. It's clear taht it's something that she longs to be, both in terms of her interaction with her sister and her Shadow Broker dossier. I would love to see what happens to Miranda down the line. Does she make peace with her barrenness ? Does she decide not to have children? Does she adopt children? Does she spoil all of her sister's children?
  • I would love to see Miranda's recruitment into Cerberus. Why did she turn to Cerberus after leaving her father - did she know that he had Cerberus ties? Did she trust that they would protect her sister? Did she have an insurance plan to ensure this? How did she wind up on the Illusive Man's doorstep - and how did she become the ice-queen we see in ME2?
  • One thing I find interesting about Miranda is she's a very good operative but she isn't very popular within the group in ME2; she can't even lead some of the strike teams during the Suicide Mission one would think she would be best at (eg: biotic bubble). Why does Miranda inspire this lack of loyalty? How does she feel about it?
  • Miranda seems to be one of the Illusive Man's most trusted operatives, but she also seems to be viewed as expendable, judging by the fact that he choses her for the Suicide Mission. How does she make her peace with this?
  • NSFW: I would love to see Miranda having hot, hot hatesex or roughsex or a public quickie with someone to blow off steam. Who she selects is up to you; I ship her with pretty much anyone! The other people I would not like to see her involved with are her sister and her father.

Nyreen Kandros

  • I would love to see a bit of Nyreen's family life. An NPC in Andromeda mentions the family reaction to learning she has "gone pirating"; what was that reaction? Why did Nyreen go public with this?
  • Why did Nyreen go pirating in Omega in the first place? What made her leave the turian military?Why did someone as blatantly lawful good as Nyreen get involved with someone as Chaotic evil as Aria? How does she reconcile her feelings about improving Omega with her feelings for Aria? I would also enjoy seing an NSFW seduction of Nyreen by Aria.
  • I always wanted to know what would have happened if Nyreen lived. What would have happened if she hadn't died on Omega? Would she have overtaken Omega? Would she have worked with Aria to make it slightly less of a shithole? Would she have gone with Shepard? Or would she have walked another path entirely?
  • How and why did Nyreen start the talons? Did she know that she was eventually going to go up against Aria? How did she feel about that?

Samantha Traynor

  • Samantha is by far the lowest ranked soldier on the Normandy in ME3 (at least, of the named ones). She's a lowly communications officer who was never expecting to be posted on the most important frigate in the galaxy. How does she handle this? Does she ever feel like she's in over her head? Do the other crew members help/hinder? (I'd particularly love to see her interact with Ash, who also once was the newbie on Shepard's ship!)
  • Samantha has to listen to the galaxy's cries for help. How does she deal with this? Are there times when handling the comms is just too draining?
  • Samantha loves to play games and is clearly a master strategist. I would love to see organize a game night on the Normandy. What do they play? How do people take it? Who wins, who loses, and who winds up drunk (if there's alcohol involved, which...there probably is, considering there's a full bar on the Normandy and in Shepard's apt).
  • Samantha mentions being a colony kid and not having some of the advantages the Earthborn do (genetic corrections to diseases like asthma, etc). What is it like growing up on a colony? How did she feel about it? What is her relationship with her family like?
  • NSFW: Samantha seems to have quite a voice kink. I'd love to see a sexy conversation on the phone between her and her LI, where she gets hot and heavy at the LI's instructions. I'm not particular about who her LI is, but I would prefer that it be a female character.

Tali'Zorah nar Rayya

  • Tali is someone who is very connected to her home culture. How does she feel about being seperated from the flotilla in Me1? Does she have some culture shock on her pilgrimage? People do not seem that supportive of quarians in general outside of the flotilla.
  • Tali helping quarians on their pilgrimages! One of the things I feel a bit sad about is Tali rarely talks with other quarians when you have her in the party. I'd love to see what she does when she finds quarians on their travels, i.e. the kid trapped in Omega, the kid who sells herself into indentured servitude/slavery in Nos Astra, etc.
  • Tali being a bad-ass admiral in the Quarian fleet! What are her duties? Does she fight in space battles? Anything where Tali leads a squad, please.
  • Tali and her mother! We know a lot about Tali's relationship with her dad, but almost nothing about her mother. What does she remember of her?  What was their relationship like?
  • NSFW:  One thing that I was frustrated about in the canon Tali romance is that Shepard always has to put Tali in danger by having sex right before a high-risk mission. I've always wanted to see Tali and her LI (Shepard or otherwise, I literally ship her with EVERYONE on the Normandy but Cortez) satisfying themselves in a non-penetrating way, whether it's quarian-safe dildos, nerve stim pro, intercrural sex, handjobs/fingerbangs (with gloves?), etc.

Female Shepard & Liara T'Soni

  • I'd like to see a day of fun for these two. They're always so serious together because the situation calls for it, but they need some downtime!
  • Liara starts writing a book about Shepard -- and Shepard somehow gains access to it. What is it about, and what does Shepard think?
  • I'd really love to see a shippy fic about Liara and Shepard with their families involved.  Family dinner with Liara's dad? AMAZING. Hannah Shepard coming to to a mother's day brunch! WONDERFUL. A blue litle girl celebrating her first earth holiday? YES PLEASE. Just some family fluff, please.
  • NSFW: There's not a lot of canon information on what Asari "bonding" entails. I'd love to hear how it feels, either from Liara's perspective or Shepard's.

Female Shepard & Miranda Lawson

  • I'd love to see how their relationship grows over time. Shepard clearly doesn't seem too into Miranda at th start of the game, but by ME3 Miranda is full team Shepard. Would love to see how either of their viewpoints matures over time; how do they bond beyond Miri's loyalty mission.
  • Miranda put Shepard back together from what Jacob describes as "meat and tubes". How does she feel about her creation being up and walking? How does she feel about putting Shepard back together? Do they ever have to have awkward questions about things Miranda had to "guestimate" or things that have been changed to improve performance, etc?
  • Space babes in space having space adventures, please. Shepard on a Spectre mission with Miri as backup, one rescuing the other, whatever, just lots of babes with guns saving the day while being 1000% in love!
  • NSFW: Miranda and Shepard have a history of having sex in ...interesting places in the canon ME2 romance. Would love to see Miranda deciding to have some "fun" during the Citadel DLC mission with Brooks. After all, it's been a long time since Miranda has gotten her super soldier all to herself...

Andromeda is a whole different beast compared to the original Mass Effect Trilogy, and I love it all the same for its lighter atmosphere, can-do pioneer spirit, and the fact that they added SO MANY GIRLS. Like SO MANY. And I love them all! Here are things about each character I love: Cora's obsession with Asari culture, as a human; Ellen Ryder's feelings toward biotics being the thing that made her and broke her; Foster Addison's year before the Hyperion arrived, a colony director without colonies; Jien Garson's decision to take to the stars of Andromeda; Lexi T'Perro's desire to stick it to the man; Nakmor Kesh's feelings re: her clan and the Nexus, Peebee's gradual fuzzy feelings for the crew, Sidera's desire to be helpful, Sloan's king-of-trash-mountain regime; Suvi's love of science and love of faith; Vetra's resourcefulness, and her sometimes-not-entirely-legal dealings in providing said resources; and Raeka's role if chosen as (spoiler). . I have two Ryders that you can use if you would like, or you can make up a custom-Ryder or use default Sara/Scott if you'd prefer.

Cora Harper

  • How did Cora get interested with gardening when she spent most of her childhood on a spaceship?
  • I'd love to see a pre-canon fic on Cora's history pre-Andromeda Initiative with her family. I am perfectly fine with seeing the "TIM is Cora's dad!!!" theory, or Cora just being your average, everyday Harper, but either way I'd like to see how her family handles having a super biotic child. How does she feel about leaving them behind?
  • How did Cora get introduced to Asari culture? Why did she cling so heavily to it?
  • How does Cora feel about working with the Huntress' unit she was put in? Did she have any culture shock, or did she finally feel like she was home? How did she feel about getting "kicked out of the nest"?
  • NSFW: Cora and her lover involve biotics in the bedroom. How does that work? What sort of things can one do with her biotic ...talents? (Lover's identity is up to you!)

Ellen Ryder

  • How did Ellen Ryder come to marry a guy like Alec? How did their marriage fare between two twins, constant missions, and a lot of lab work?
  • How does Ellen feel about her biotic research? Not only did it make her famous, but it also proved fatal for her.
  • How did Ellen ever let Alec talk her into the Andromeda Initiative? Or did she press it upon him and the children, instead?
  • (SPOILERS FOR RYDER FAMILY SECRETS) I'd love to see a scene where Ellen wakes up and is embraced by the twins. Whether she's there to stay or just for a brief moment, I'd love to see their reactions, or her reactions to a brand new galaxy.

Foster Addison

  • I'd love to see anything covering the year before the Hyperion lands, where Foster Addison has to fight constantly for her right to be there, despite the fact she doesn't have any colonies to her name.
  • How did Foster Addison feel about the rather public splits from the Andromeda Initiative a few of her colleagues have had? (Sloane Kelly, Spencer, etc.) Does she feel any guilt for her part in their exile? Or does she feel they got their "just desserts"?
  • What was she doing in the Milky Way? Why did she come to Andromeda?
  • ART REQUEST: I hate her make-up so much. It's garrish and horrible and really doesn't make her look good at all. Can someone please give that girl a better palette that suits her better than high-glo lavender eye shadow and blush that's all the wrong color???

Jien Garson

  • Why did Jien Garson come to Andromeda? Why did she want to leave the Milky Way?
  • (SPOILERS FOR RYDER FAMILY SECRETS) Who was the Benefactor? Did Jien Garson find out, but find out too late to update her VI?
  • (SPOILERS FOR RYDER FAMILY SECRETS) Who killed Jien Garson? Why? I would love a casefic where this is somehow solved.

Lexi T'Perro

  • Lexi seems to be literally jonesing for a reason to make her documentary very anti-Initiative. Why does she feel this way? Is it just a desire to stick it to the man, or does she have another reason to dislike the Andromeda Initiative government?
  • Lexi has to interview people beyond just Ryder. I'd love to see some of her other interviews on Andromeda, especially those that might not go in the direction that she expects them to. Or some of the stories she publishes?
  • Lexi goes to interview the exiles and finds that she actually agrees with them on several points. Does she stay with the exiles on Kadara? Or go back to the Nexus? Or perhaps take a third path?
  • Lexi interviewing the people who run Advent. Who are they, and why are they making a nation of their own? Does she find them sympathetic, or no? How does she find them in the first place?

Nakmor Kesh

  • I would love to see Kesh and Drack having adventures. Pre, during, or post canon!
  • How does Kesh feel about the uprising on the Nexus? I would love to know how she navigates being a senior Krogan official in a time when the  Krogan were being thrown under the metaphorical space bus. How does she handle almost all the Krogan on the station leaving? Why does she stay? Does she stay in contact with the Krogan colony, besides Drack and Vorn?
  • How did she meet Vorn? How did they become a couple? What sort of things do they do on date nights?
  • How does Kesh deal with Addison and Foster? Do she and Tyran Kandros ever team up against the other two?
  • (LATE GAME SPOILER) Kesh and her potential feelings about becoming a mother, despite the Genophage. Is this her first child?

Peebee

  • Peebee studies Remnant tech in Andromeda. What did she used to study in the milky way? What made her decide to give up this study in hopes of going to Andromeda?
  • Peebee doesn't seem to be interested in long-term romances for a great deal of the game. What made her decide to go for quickies and short term relationships? How did she decide this is the ideal? Did a really good or really bad experience lead her to feel this way?
  • NSFW: Peebee offers to be the "other woman" if your character is in a relationship. What would happen if Ryder talks with her other half and decides that not only do they think it is okay for Ryder to participate -- but the partner wants to as well. What happens when they tell Peebee?

Sidera Nyx

  • Does Sidera remember her parents at all? Or is Vetra the only parent she has ever known? What were the early days on Omega like for a teenager and an infant?
  • How does Sid enjoy her job on the Nexus? Was she one of the ones selected to get out of Cryo early, or did Vetra pull a few strings? Does she have time to hang out with her sister? How does she feel about Vetra going on the Tempest?
  • If Vetra is dating Ryder, she tells Sid all about her paramour. Surely she's have mentioned their brother/sister being on the Nexus in the Hyperion's cryo bay. Sid, being Sid, makes sure that Scott/Sara is visited often when their sister/brother is away. After all, they're family, right? What happens when the comatose sibling finds out that they've had a teenager turian who's constantly at the bedside?

Sloane Kelly

  • How did Sloane handle the year before the Hyperion arrived? Why did she exiled? Why did she choose to revolt?
  • How did Sloane get to Kadara, and how did she choose her cronies? Why did she take it personally when the Charlatan attacked her turian second-in-command? How does she feel about Kadara?
  • What will Sloane do when she finally captured the Charletan? She seems very much to have taken his attempts on her personally.  (If you want to go NSFW, I'm there for that.)
  • Sloane wheeling and dealing for Kadara - who does she trade with? Morda? The Nexus? The Angara?
  • Sloane getting in a barfight on Kadara to remind everyone who is boss.

Suvi Anwar

  • Suvi's detailed notes about giving various substances in Andromeda the "lick test!"
  • Suvi and faith and how her faith changes after coming to Andromeda. Does it make her more faithful in her religion, or less? Also, how does the faith meeting between her, Jaal, and Kallo go?

  • Vetra & Kesh having adventures during the year before the Hyperion arrived. How did they hold down the fort during such a tumultuous time? Kesh seems to be good friends with both Vetra and Kandros - did Vetra ever work with them together
  • How does Vetra get settled on the Tempest? How does she handle being away from her sister? Other than Drack, how does she get along with the crew?
  • NSFW: Vetra seems to have a hard time letting down her guard. Cora Harper & Female Ryder | Sara

  • Cora and Ryder spend time talking about Alec and remembering him. Liquor may or may not be involved.
  • Cora seems to go through quite a bit of discomfort at the idea of not being Alec's successor. How does she move past this to support the pathfinder? Is this discomfort merely a symptom of being passed by, or is there something specific about Sara that makes her hesitate?
  • Cora tries to get Ryder to relax before the final mission. How does she do this? What sort of things could she do for her lover to make her feel better?
  • NSFW: Cora's never been with a woman, but there's something about Ryder that makes her think that perhaps she gave her that "no women" speech a little too hastily... Cora decides to right this mistake and seduces the young Pathfinder.

Cora Harper & Peebee

  • It's always bothered me how these two fight like cats and dogs. I'd love to see them realize that they have something in common, and become friends. Maybe even (gasp) apologize for the shitty way they've treated one another!
  • The Asari arc makes Peebee feel an emotion she isn't familiar with: guilt. Cora proves surprisingly comforting.
  • Cora's always wanted to embrace eternity and Peebee, too keyed up at being stuck in one place for too long, is all too happy to oblige.
  • NSFW: Cora and Peebee hate one another, but they still need a stress release. Turns out, the hatred they have for one another just makes the sex really rough and really good.

Sloane Kelly & Foster Addison

Breha, a character barely even met yet in charge of raising her friend's daughter with Darth Vader, a man who is one of her biggest political enemies; Leia, daughter of the most infamous imperial and sister to one of the most famous rebels, yet somehow a BAMF unto herself who never becomes beholden to the Skywalker storyline; Oola, the slave-girl who meets a too-harsh end, and Mon Mothma, the rebel leader who goes from lawful senator to unlawful resistance fighter.

The settings of the PT are so evocative, and thankfully so full of female characters I absolutely adore: Beru Whitesun and her love of Tattooine, to the point she doesn't want to go anywhere else; the handmaidens and their relationship with their queen, who they may one day die for; Padme's relationship as queen and senator and lover, and how she balances the different faces she must wear; and Shmi, trying to raise an independent and self-reliant son while both she and her son are enslaved.

  • In a deleted scene in AOTC, Padme tells Beru that maybe Beru will visit Naboo one day and Beru is quick to say that she doesn't want to leave Tatooine.   • Beru and Owen consciously choose to raise Luke as their nephew, not their son. Why do they let him have his father's name, when he so easily could have blended in on Tatooine as Luke Lars?

Padmé Amidala

  • I would love to see more of Padme's focus on her relationship with Anakin. Because Anakin is the viewpoint character in the Prequel trilogy, we don't get a lot of opportunities to get into her head. Why did she fall for Anakin? What makes her love him? Or, if you don't want to write a love story with these two - why did she agree to get together with him, and how does she feel about being in a secret marriage?
  • Padme is pregnant and alone for a lot of the time between AOTC and ROTS. How does she handle what must be a really anxiety-provoking experience? She's all alone, a popular senator who surely gets pictured by some of the space papparazi, and as far as the galaxy knows she's unmarried and has no lover but politics. Padme is secretly married, of course, but even she doesn't know if Anakin wants children.  Now she's pregnant, and by the time Anakin comes back, she's clearly far enough along that it's had to have been a huge struggle to hide it. How does she handle impending motherhood on her own?
  • Padme & her family! There were a LOT of deleted scenes with Padme's family, and once I saw those I thought they gave Padme a lot more personality than she often was allowed to show. I'd love to see an adventure with Sola and Padme when they children, or perhaps babysitting her nieces, or even just a conversation when she tells her family that she's pregnant.
  • Padme becoming a force ghost (because LBR how does that girl NOT have the force I mean she is an uncanny shot for a Queen/Senator) and haunting the SHIT out of those left behind. Perhaps not Palpatine (because c'mon, he has no conscious), but I'd love to see her being a friendly ghost who sometimes appears when Luke/Leia really want/need their mother, or are otherwise in danger. I wouldn't mind seeing her with Anakin, either, though I do not want her to brush what he did to her under the rug if you want to write her with him. I think she would have a very, very hard time forgiving him (which is not to say that I don't think she would still love him - I think the "there's still good in him" is proof of that, but loving someone and forgiving their egregious dark side actions are two very separate things.

Shmi Skywalker

  • Shmi becoming pregnant with Anakin! How did she handle being suddenly pregnant despite there not being a father? As a slave, how did she survive her pregnancy and find a master who would allow her to keep her son?
  • As slaves, Shmi has to raise her son in a rather seedy area of Mos Espa. I'd love to see an example of how this might have impacted her or Anakin - perhaps if this means Anakin learns to grow up quicker than she would like.
  • Shmi's feelings toward Clieg! Did she love him? Or did she just along with his feelings, figuring there were worse ways to earn her freedom? Once free, did she ever try to talk to Anakin? Would she even be allowed to be in contact with him?
  • Shmi's free and doesn't quite understand how to feel about that. What's it like going places without a master? How does she handle going to say, the market, as a free woman? Or being able to boss around Owen, her step-son? Does she struggle with certain aspects of running a farm household? How do Clieg and Owen react?
  • What was Shmi and Beru's relationship like?

Padmé Amidala & Sabé

  • How did Padme and Sabe meet? How did Sabe agree to be her handmaiden? How did she become the decoy most often used for the queen?
  • Sabe often ordered Padme around while Sabe was the decoy queen, including sometimes giving her rather demeaning tasks (eg washing R2D2). Did they agree upon these orders before hand? If not, does this ever bring tension to their relationship?
  • Did Sabe and Padme stay friends after TPM? How did Sabe feel about Anakin and/or the babies, if she knew? How did she feel about Padme's death?
  • AU: Sabe finds out about Padme's pregnancy and immediately volunteers to move in with her friend/former liege. This changes Padme's life in an unexpected way.
  • AU: Padme breaks up with Anakin (or Anakin is killed) and falls in love with Sabe. They work together to bring down the Empire.

Padmé Amidala& Sabé & Cordé & Dormé

  • I'd really love to see some world-building about the role of the handmaidens of Naboo, and any ceremonies they may have to perform with their queen. What are their duties in these ceremonies? How do they feel about being chosen/choosing to participate?
  • How did these girls decide to serve Padme? Are they forced into it through political alliances, family channels, tradition, etc? Is it like a regular job? Does Padme choose her handmaidens from her own friends?
  • Time off! I would love to see what a teenage girl slumber party looks in what appears to be such a ritualized society.
  • How do the handmaidens work? Are they only for decoy purposes, or do they have some sort of role in Naboo society? How do they serve their queen? Are they trained in any special skills?

Padmé Amidala & Shmi Skywalker

  • Padme helping Shmi in the slave quarters on Tatooine! This is probably Padme's first time in a slave's kitchen - is this a shocking experience for her? How does Shmi influence Padme?
  • AU: Padme and Anakin decide to hide out on Tatooine, not Naboo. As a result, they get there just a little bit earlier, and Anakin isn’t too late to save his mother. Now Padme and Shmi are unexpectedly reunited, and Padme isn’t sure she likes the feelings that the meeting is stirring up.
  • AU: Padme Amidala will NOT stand to see Shmi stay in slavery, and immediately buys her way out of Tatooine after her son SAVES HER ENTIRE PLANET. Shmi comes to stay with Padme's family on Naboo, but has a hard time believing in her freedom.
  • AU: Padme insists that Anakin's mother is freed but lacks the political capital to make it happen... but her friend Palpatine can help. He kindly offers to buy her, to prevent her from suffering. Padme, to her horror, finds out that she has sold her new friend's mother into a worse situation, and vows to help rescue her.

Shmi Skywalker & Beru Whitesun

  • How did these two meet? Was Beru already part of the Lars household when Clieg bought/married Shmi? If so, how does she react to her soon to be father-in-law owning a woman? If it happened the other way around, how does Shmi handle being suddenly thrust into this household? Does Beru do anything to help her blend in?
  • Tatooine slave culture! What kind of recipes do they have? Do Beru and Shmi make anything drastically different because Shmi is used to making it with far less resources? What sort of cultural differences are there between them due to their upbringing?
  • Or, alternatively, was Beru born a slave as well, and Shmi sees herself in Beru all too clearly?

The Star Wars Sequel Trilogy is interesting to me because despite the good guys winning, it feels like everything has gone to hell in a hand-basket in the last twenty years. The returning characters have endured painful losses, and the new characters have been born into a harsh reality that leads them to either thrive or die. Here are some of the things I'm interested in: Leia, and adjusting to military leadership, to the losses she's suffered, to being the Last of the Big 3 Fighting the Good Fight; Phasma, thriving as Queen of the Storm troopers, and finding her place in a fascist society; and Rey, and how discovering the force leads to her own personal "awakening."

Leia Organa

  • Leia's reaction to Han's death. I want sadness, and I want to choke on it, and I also want to see how Leia feels abouther son after this happens. Does she pity him? Or does she hate him?
  • Leia being the last of the Big 3 Heroes of the rebellion still fighting. Does it weigh on her that Luke abandoned the fight? She seems very devoted to getting him back, but how does she feel about Luke hiding away? Without Han, how is she holding up?

  • Any and all adventures in which General Leia Organa is a Boss Without Fear, and will Fuck Your Shit Up If You Dare Speak Fascism to Her, Fuck Boy.

Phasma

  • How did Phasma become a stormtrooper? Was she born into this life, or did she choose it?
  • What happened to Phasma at the end of The Force Awakens? Where did she go? Did she save Kylo and/or Hux?
  • Does Phasma know about Snork? How does she feel about working for a hologram?
  • Phasma and storm trooper adventures! She keeps a pretty tight leash on her storm troopers and seems to know them all by name, judging by how she handles Finn. How is she as a leader? Does she inspire courage or devotion? How does she handle the young children who have just been selected/kidnapped to grow the troopers' recruitments?

Rey

  • Rey adventures on Jakku! How does she survive on the streets of Jakku as a younger child? When did she become a scavanger? How did she come by her knowledge of lots of electrical systems?
  • Rey doesn't understand Luke abandoning his family. Conflict results.
  • Rey's Jedi training is interrupted when her friends are in danger. Luke, more than anyone, understands.
  • Rey is visited by three helpful force ghosts throughout her life... and one that's not so helpful.
  • Rey having pilot adventures with Jessica Pava, Poe, Finn, and their crew!

Leia Organa & Rey

  • Rey reminds Leia of herself at a young age. Sometimes, that turns rather painful.
  • Rey likes older women and is fairly brazen about going after Leia. Leia is surprised, flattered, and...tempted.
  • Leia teaches Rey some basic force techniques before she goes off to find Luke.
  • Rey is exactly Han's type. Now that Han's gone, Leia finds reasons to keep her around.

Phasma & Rey

  • Phasma captures Rey and toys with her. Rey, to her surprise, seems to be more into this "torture" than Phasma might have perhaps thought...
  • Phasma is constantly seeking out young talent for the Stormtroopers. When she finds Rey, she sees more than just talent - she sees potential, and makes Rey her right hand woman.
  • Kylo Ren tries a different tack with Rey, and rather than dealing with her directly, he sends in Phasma to talk to her. This proves surprisingly more sympathetic?
  • The Resistance takes Phasma captive. Leia sends Rey to deal with Phasma, and the exchange between them proves unexpectedly heated.

 Dishonored

I've just recently finished Dishonored 1, and it's struck me as a rather interesting game, especially when it comes to the non-playable characters who we see only briefly. Billie's desire to talk to the Outsider and her role as Daud's second-in-command; Callista's relationship with Emily, after Emily returns to her throne; Jessamine's relationship with Corvo both as herself and as the heart; Granny Rag's youth and bringing kings to their knees and how her suitors interfere with her relationship to the Outsider. Please note that I have not played Dishonored 2 yet but should by the time the exchange is done, so don't hesitate on taking things in a different direction/incorporating Dishonored 2 elements into your fic or art.

  • Callista is luckier than most because she manages to survive both the rat plague and the war. How does she feel about what she's survived?
  • How does/did Castilla get along with the other servants? Does she have any friends in the inn?
  • Castilla gets spied upon often in the bath, judging from Corvo and Pietro. -.- How does she handle this?
  • Castilla's reaction to the power grab at the end of the game.

Emily Kaldwin

  • Emily seems to have seen a lot of interesting things in the brothel and I'd love a story set during her time there.
  • Emily's POV of the Rat Plague outbreak.
  •  Emily at court, either pre or post her mother's death.
  • AU: Corvo never locates Emily and never rescues her from the brothel. How does she grow up? What happens to her without Corvo to guide her?

Jessamine Kaldwin

  • I would love, love, love any fic about Jessamine and Corvo's relationship: how did it begin, was it a secret, how did they announce Emily's birth, etc.
  • Jessamine as the heart - how does she feel? How conscious is she?
  • In order to make her the heart, Jessamine must have met the Outsider. How did that meeting go?

  • The Outsider notes that Granny Rags once had emperors willing to be her slaves because she was so enthralling. Why did she turn down the nobles and emperors? Why does she remain in the service of the Outsider.
  • We know how the Outsider appears to Corvo. How does the Outsider appear to Granny Rags?
  • Has Granny Rags ever crossed paths with someone besides Corvo? How did that meeting go?

Emily Kaldwin & Billie Lurk

  • AU - Billie takes Emily Kaldwin back with them to the hideout as insurance. Now Daud and she have a new princess, and need to make a plan for what to do with her.

Discworld - Terry Pratchett

Discworld's Death series is my favorite sub-series, and Susan is one of my favorite characters. I am mostly interested in her relationship with her grandfather and how it changes through time.

Fire Emblem

Fire Emblem is a series that I am still making my way through, having first finished Awakenings. I'm currently rather buried in Fates, which suits my love of family drama to a very excellent T. I also play Fire Emblem Heroes, and would love to see crossover relationships in Fire Emblem Heroes with any of the characters/groups I've nominated! Specific prompts are in my letter, but here are some things I'm interested in: Corrin's relationship as a woman torn between two worlds, Azura's dual-history as both a Nohr princess and a Hosidian captive, Felicia's role as Corrin's caretaker, Lucina's knowledge of the future vs. what she knows Robin will one day do; Robin and Panne and their fight to save the taguel; Noire's attempts to live hex-free and become her own person, Tharja's feelings toward her daughter and magic, and Panne's feelings toward motherhood and the future of her family.

Awakening

Characters: Noire, Panne, Tharja

Noire:

  • Noire’s last moments in the bad timeline with her parents. (For her father, I’m very fond of Libra or Henry as her dad.)
  • Noire’s first steps into the current timeline. How does she feel about being in a non-ruined world? How does she decide to find her family?
  • Tharja isn’t used to being a mom. Noire isn’t used to her mom being dead. Needless to say, it’s a bit awkward, but Noire wants to make it work.
  • Noire has fallen in love, but she’s a bit timid. How does she tell her crush how she feels?
  • 5 Times Noire’s Talisman took over.

Panne:

  • Panne is the last of her people and has been on the run for years. She’s not at all used to  being in a large camp of people. How does she adjust to this?
  • Panne is jumpy and distrustful of humans, but one person notices and is intrigued by her. (I’m most fond of Panne being with Gregor, Robin, or Tharja, but I’m open to different ideas!)
  • Panne discovers she is pregnant. How does she feel about it? How does she feel about what this means for the Taguel?

Tharja:

  • Tharja snoops on Robin to hex her. Robin doesn’t exactly mind.
  • Tharja finds out she has a daughter. How does she feel about Noire? What kind of  relationship do they have?
  • Tharja is having a bad day, and everyone in camp is eager to avoid her.

 Group: Lucina & Robin

  • Lucina knows what Robin has done in the bad future. How does she decide  how to act in front of her now? Does she ever try to change Robin’s role in the Shepards?
  • If Robin is Lucina’s mother, how does Lucina feel about her? Can she forgive her mother?
  • Lucina and Robin have a play fight, but Lucina intends on it being anything but.
  • Lucina sees her younger self from a distance. It brings up feelings she’d rather not feel.

Robin & Panne

  • Panne isn’t sure she belongs in the Shepards. Robin convinces her to stay.
  • Panne has a nightmare. Robin helps her wake up.
  • Panne finds abandoned taguels. Robin decides to help her with them.

  • Azura and Corrin talk about their roles in Nohr/Hoshido. Did either of them feel like they belonged? How do the two of them feel about their upbringing?

Felicia & Corrin

Gyakuten Saiban | Ace Attorney

I love Ace Attorney, and part of the reason I adore it is the diverse cast of women that exist within it. I love that even narrative/plot advancing characters who perform similar functions, such as the Fey family, all have very different personalities and goals.  Some things I am interested in: Maya's relationship with Phoenix, Pearl, Franziska, and her mother; Ema and Lana and how their relationship changes over time; Mia's relationship with Maya, post-death; Maya's relationship with Pearl, as her guardian; Franziska's relationship with Maya and with her family. I am fine with them being set in any time period in AA history, not just the original trilogy of PW games.

Franziska von Karma

Dragon Age is one of the few fantasy series I love, in part because it has such a huge and varied female cast. Some of what I am interested in: Anora's relationship with her family and her role as Queen; Aveline's ability to move on, and her relationship with Hawke's friends and how it changes in time; Bethany's ability to step beyond her sister's shadow, and what she does in the tower/ in the grey wardens; Cassandra's faith, and if it was ever shaken; Celene's backroom dealings and how she keeps control of the rather blood-thirsty Orlisian nobility; Isabella's relationship with Hawke, Merrill, and Aveline, and how it changes; Josephine's role as the inquisition's politician, and how it wears/inspires her; Leliana's faith, and the voice of the Maker she hears; Merrill's decision to walk away from her people, and live in the elven slums, and how she finds the community there; Morrigan's decision to have to the dark child, and how she raises Kieran; Sera's adventures as a Red Jenny; Shianni's ability to geAAnt past her own trauma to help others; Vivianne's role in court politics, and Wynne's role as a teacher and what she learns when camping with the party in DAO.

  • Aveline is invited to join the Templars, but defers. The only problem is that she feels guilty about saying no.

Bethany Hawke

  • Bethany’s adventures in Kirkwall while Hawke is off smuggling/mercing.
  • Bethany and how she feels about joining the circle/the black wardens.

 Cassandra Pentaghast

  • Cassandra becomes the Divine. How does she feel about that?

Celene Valmont

  • Celene politicking in one of the most gossip-heavy environments in Orlais.
  • Celene and why she decided to stay with Briala. And why she decided to do what she did to the elves in Orlais.
  • Celene goes on a state visit to another country. How is she accepted there? How do people see this visit?

Isabela

  • Isabela’s first adventure on the high seas.
  • NSFW: Isabela’s first time with a woman.
  • Isabella gets some rare alcohol and shares it with the group. Why? Who holds their liquor the best? Who is the lightest of weights?
  • Isabella as an admiral in the inquisition!

Josephine Montilyet

  • Josephine’s friends and/or lover try to get her to relax. Josie’s form of relaxation is not exactly relaxing.
  • Josephine’s notes and doodles on an important meeting between Orlais and Ferelden.
  • Josephine’s marriage.
  • Josephine on the high seas as a trading queen.

 Leliana

  • Leliana loved the warden, but the warden died. How does the Leliana of Inquisition move on? Does seeing more and more deaths remind her of her lover’s death
  • Leliana’s relationship with her religion. Does she still hear voices in her head?
  • Leliana becomes Divine. How does Cassandra or Vivienne feel about it?
  • How does Leliana feel if Cass or Viv become the Divine instead?

Merrill

  • Merrill wants to go home again. She goes back to the forest, but doesn’t find her clan. She finds Tamriel. How does she deal with this?
  • Merrill is reunited with the Warden. What happens? How do they feel about one another?
  • Merrill is courted by a Dalish Warden. How does she feel about her loving leaving to stay with the grey wardens?
  • Merrill babysits Hawke’s dog.
  • Merrill’s “by the dread wolf!” kind of sort of somehow gives her Solas’ powers. What does she do?

Morrigan

  • Why does Morrigan offer to do the dark sacrifice for the Warden?
  • How does Morrigan feel about her mother? Does it change whether or not she drinks from the fountain?
  • Morrigan’s role as a mother to her son.
  • Morrigan teaching Kieran magic.

Sera

  • Sera starts a practical joke, but it winds up hurting someone. How does she feel about that? Does she take responsibility?
  • Sera and Solas and elvy-ness. How does he feel about her? Does he see her as basically a shemlen?
  • Sera’s feelings toward the Fountain in Mythal’s temple. Is this just an elfy-trick, or do they make her think more deeply about her feelings toward the dalish?

 Shianni

  • Shianni leading people against the Tevinter mages.
  • Shianni’s feelings toward her City Elf Warden cousin, especially a City Elf who winds up marrying Anora. (Lesbian Marriage  or Straight.)
  • Shianni’s wedding.
  • Shianni drinks to cope. She meets someone who can understand why in a Denerim bar.

Vivienne

  • Viv’s experiences in the Circle in Orlais.
  • Vivienne tours the tower at Kirkwall, and is alarmed by what she sees.
  • Vivienne and Wynne having tea.
  • Viv becomes the Divine. How does she feel about it?

Wynne

  • Wynne and Vivienne having tea.
  • Wynne talking with the Warden in the camp.
  • Wynne’s view of Ferelden.
  • How Wynne wound up in the Ferelden Circle. Does she ever feel it limiting? Or is she happy to be there?
