Yuletide 2017 Letter
Hello! Thank you for writing for me, kind author/artist and happy Yuletetide! I've done my best to highlight my general likes/dislikes and give you some good prompts, but please don't feel beholden to any of the prompts in particular; prompts are always just there for basic ideas and are always optional! As long as you write about my faves, I'm open to pretty much anything. I'm always interested in new interactions between my favorite characters. :) If you are wondering whether you can twist prompts./take them in different directs/etc the answer is always yes - whether it be something sad, scary, fun, or just plain weird, as long as it avoids my DNW I am always down to play. :)

Suikoden 3 is my favorite RPG of all time in terms of its worldbuilding. The realistic qualities of the world, in both the overall plot and the small details - racist innkeepers! Real, serious emotional trauma from war! An alliance that is fragile and, ultimately, broken! - still fascinate me, despite the game being 16 years old. What I'm most interested in seeing is what canon teases but, ultimately, denies us - a chance to see the future, past Suikoden III. I'm particularly interested in how the characters have grown and changed in the tumultuous, war-ravaged world. How does Chris cope with the war with Tinto, especially with things as fragile as they are in the Grasslands? How does Zexen as a whole deal with their Knight Captain never aging, eternally youthful? How do Thomas and/or Cecile hold on to Budehuc - or do they not, and are left desperately trying to find a place that would accept them? How would Chris feel to see an older Thomas and Cecile as soldiers signing on for a war? How does Geddoe feel about how things are left in the Grassland? Does anything change in his troops after his friends find out his true origins?
In terms of ships, I would prefer Thomas/Cecile. I tend to ship Chris with Salome and Geddoe with Queen, but I am alright with gen for any of the four nominated characters as well but would prefer not to see the character(s) in other ships. (Past relationships is fine.)

The Good Place is a show that has come and absolutely stolen my heart this season. I absolutely adore the characters, the setting, and the mythology of the show. I'm most interested in an exploration of how things change over the many, many times Michael has wiped the Main 4's memories - how do they handle it when they get deja vu? How do the demons handle having to keep their stories straight time and time again? Does Trevor come in to assist? What happens to those who Eleanor/Chidi/Tahani/Jason left behind? Does Jason ever get corrupted from how much Michael is rebooting her? Will Janet and Jason ever fall in love again? Has Janet ever figured out she is in hell? How does the soul-mate switch up affect the crew over those many reboots? What was the magic panda? Did the Seduce Michael plan actually work? How long have they been in hell, anyway?
I'm staying current on the show so please do not worry about spoilers. In terms of ships, I basically ship the entire cast with one another, but I'm especially fond of Eleanor/Chidi, Eleanor/Tahani, and Eleanor/Michael. I quite liked Atomic Blonde in theaters this year. I'm all for spy on spy action, and the canonical femslash pleased me greatly. I'm mostly looking for fic playing on the lack of trust inherent in these relationships; how do you trust anyone, or love anyone, in a time so bleak as the cold war? What makes them want to be spies? Are they loyal to their countries? One another? Why was the CIA double-crossing the British? Why was Lorraine a triple agent? Was Delphine a baby spy, or was there more to her than how she presented herself?
In terms of ships, I would love Kurtzfeld/Lorraine or Delphine/Lorraine but I am open to gen as well.

I loved Suicide Squad. It's so cartoonishly grimy and fun and I love the idea of these villains not only getting a hero turn in some cases but also showing that they're not, entirely, their bad actions. In particular, I thought Floyd/Deadshot being both a murderous killer <i>and</i> a very dedicated father was a really interesting turn on his character; I also enjoyed seeing Harley's secret desire being having a family with the Joker, so naturally what I'd <i>really</i> like to see is Harley/Deadshot with a family focus. How would they get together? How would Harley react to Deadshot's daughter? What would happen when the Joker or Batman got word of this?
I only want Deadshot/Harley in terms of pairings, but I'm open to them having been with other people in the past. I'm also fine with villains being villains, or if you want to make them turn over a new leaf, that's fine too. I'm just interested in the journey.

Crazyhead is a show that's so short but <i>so good</i>! I'm a huge fan of the entire female cast and would love more adventures together, especially post-canon since it doesn't seem like we'll ever see a Season 2. How did Suzanne come back to life after throwing herself out of the window? How do Raquel and Amy patch up their relationship after the distrust and the drugging etc? Are the demons still gunning for them, now that Callum is gone?
I love any combination of the main three here, whether it's gen or shippy.

NieR is a game I didn't think would punch me as hard in the feels as it did. I'm really fascinated by its androids, still fighting an endless war for the sake of and against a people that no longer exist. Mostly I feel terrible for the main cast, who are all so traumatized. A part of me wants happier fluff, and another part of me wants to revel in sadness, so whether fluff or dark-fic, you'll make me happy. Mostly I'm looking for the connections between the characters nominated - How do their relationships grow and change, especially with so much going on around them? How does 2B react to killing 9S and seeing him, again and again and again? How does Anemone react to re-meeting A2? How does Anemone see the YorHa units - or A2? How does 9S start to see the world once his sanity starts slipping - particularly 2B, A2, and Anemone?
In terms of ships, I prefer 2B/9S and A2/Anemone, but I am open to gen for all as well.

- Geddoe is constantly on the move due to his rune - and is feeling pressure to move on from his group. Do they notice? Do they let him go?
- Thomas/Cecile and Budehuc and trying to make things work despite a really tense political climate. How do they stay alive in such trying timese?
- Chris is becoming more and more a mythological figure in Zexen. Geddoe, surprisingly, understands.
- Thomas is killed and Budehuc is taken over by a Grassland tribe. Cecile joins the Zexen Army in revenge and Chris is shocked by the difference she sees in the young girl.
- Thomas is pretty young in Suikoden III and in a place that's right between the Grasslands, Zexen, and Harmonia, so he has plenty of time to see Chris or Geddoe. How do they change as time goes on, despite not aging?
- Cecile and training to defend Budehuc and teaching Thomas OR training with Chris or Geddoe.

- The "Seducing Michael" scheme to defeat Michael. How did it work? Who did the seducing? Does Michael decide to go along with it, knowing their memories will be wiped anyway?
- 5 Times Eleanor Figured Out This Was the Bad Place
- Anything about the characters' lives pre-death, or their families reactions to their deaths.
- Vicki gets her poshest part yet - the part of Tahani's sister.
- Vicki's plans for organizing the demon labor. How does that work? How did she get the idea?
- Chidi and ungodly angsting over a very minor sin in life - perhaps the almond milk that is his secret shame?
- Jason and Janet falling in love five different times.
- How Michael stole Janet.
- Eleanor and Chidi and all those times they went to the middle place and how their relaationship changes.
- Eleanor + Tahani, first time with a woman.

- 9S keeps hallucinating 2B and his grip on sanity slips more and more post-ending C; he doesn't want to correct his routines though.
- 2B keeps relieving memories of killing 9S. 9S can't make it better, but he tries.
- 2B and 9S and the many previous times she's had to kill 9S and how their relationship evolves over time when she remembers and he doesn't.
- A2 and PTSD and keeping functioning when she's on her own - or with Anemone.
- Anemone and keeping the rebellion going despite limited supplies.
- Anemone and A2 - "drink with me".
