Multi-Fandom Tropefest 2018 Letter
Dearest tropemeister,
I am looking forward to seeing whatever you create! Thank you for writing for me! All prompts are optional, but I added some ideas below. Please feel free to use my general likes as something you can base your fic/art on, and ignore my prompts entirely if they're not doing it for you. I love everything from G-rated gen fic to E-rated full on smut-bangs, so feel free not to hold back on my account; if I selected a freeform tag, I absolutely want anything for it that doesn't hit my few DNW. If you are wondering if you can twist prompts/take them in different directions/etc. the answer is always yes. Whether it be something sad, scary, fun, or just plain weird, as long as it avoids my DNW I am always down to play!

SW: Prequel Trilogy
Padmé Amidala/Anakin Skywalker
Can't Stop Thinking About It - B Accidentally Sees A Masturbating: I would love to see some plot what plot where Anakin stumbles upon the Padmé trying to take control of her pesky desires, given acting upon them is forbidden. How does he stumble upon her? Does he realize it from how her presence changes in the force or is he viewing her on a monitor of some kind? Maybe Padmé is trying to find a place to let off some steam after being forced into close quarters with him for a while (on the ship to Naboo? After the picnic date?)? Does he keep watching/listening in? Or does he withdraw or perhaps even be so bold as to alert her to his presence (and perhaps even lend a helping hand)?
Can't Stop Thinking About - B Discovers A Has a Huge Cock: similar to the above, I would love to see Padmé walk in on Anakin's erm... private moment and discover she likes what she sees. How far does she take the voyeurism? Does she watch him work it to completion or does she offer a helping hand? If so, how does she cope with his size?
Distracted Sex - Doing Paperwork: Padmé is a workaholic. Anakin is a Padméholic. Obviously the best way to make her happy is to eat her out from under her desk? Or perhaps Padmé had to take an important political call but Anakin isn't happy that it intersects with their valuable and rare sexy times and Padmé finds a way to do both at once?
First Time - First Time with a Guy: I love Padmé in femslash pairings and would love to see something introspective with her bisexuality. If Padmé has only been with women, how does she handle being with a man? Is Anakin a very different experience for her, or is it in many ways the same? How does she feel in regards to penetration? I would prefer neither experience is far better than the other but would love to see her feeling out some of the differences between her lovers.
First Time - Younger Person Is a Virgin: Anakin is obviously the virginiest virgin since Kylo Ren and Padmé, five years older, is significantly more likely to have some experience. How does she "break him in", so to speak? How does she train him to please her? How does he feel about being in a sexual relationship for the first time? Is he nervous? Scared? Excited? Does he know on any level how this works? Does he have any erm... misinformation that they have to work through?
Age-gap Relationship - Younger Person is Completely Inexperienced: Anakin has been with the Jedi since he was 9 and given that he's the only Jedi in the movies with romantic urges, I imagine that he is not exactly given the most comprehensive sex Ed. Or any sex ed. How does he deal with that? Does his upbringing as a slave give him some very unfortunate thoughts as to what a sexual or romantic relationship involves? How do he and Padmé deal with the fact his education has been so sorely lacking?
Alternate Reality - Character Meets Romantic Interest from Alternate Universe: I'd love to see Anakin somehow meet an older Padmé who didn't get together with him during attack of the clones. What is her life like? How does he react to meeting this woman? Is she like his Padmé or very alien to him? How does he handle being in a different universe? Or, if she is in his, how does Padmé who married Anakin react to Padmé who didn't?
Back-To-Back Badasses: The couple who slays together stays together! Padmé’s political gifts get some focus in fandom but it’s rarer we get to see that she's also capable of fighting on a battlefield with him. I would love to see them fighting back to back and protecting one another (while secretly flirting like mad because They Are The Worst at Keeping Things on the Down Low).
Cross-cultural Relationship: Padmé is from a high class background, Anakin spent most of his youth enslaved. How does this change how they might each see their relationship? Does the fact they must keep it a secret bother Padmé more than Anakin, who has probably always had a different idea of what marriage may be? Does Anakin worry about their growing family in different ways? What sort of religious or cultural ideas might they have and would they conflict?
Enemy Lovers - Lovers on Opposite Sides in a War: I would love to see a canon divergent AU where Padmé somehow wound up in Dooku's confederacy. (Maybe Padmé listened to Palpatine or her friend Mina Bonteri? Or maybe Dooku came to Naboo's aid, not the Republic?) How would Anakin feel about the woman who he clearly has had a long term torch for being on the side of "the enemy"? Would Padmé think anything of this slave boy turned Jedi? (If in this universe he becomes one)? What might bring them together and what, if anything, might split them apart?
Fallen Hero - Seduction to the Dark Side: I would love to see a Canon divergent AU where Obi-wan does not hide on Padmé's ship and as a result Padmé and Anakin have a longer conversation on Mustafar. Does Anakin manage to seduce her to the dark side and she becomes his empress queen? If so, how does she live with this new role? Or does she seduce him to run away with her but finds living (with two squalling infants no less!) with a Sith Lord seductive in terrible ways (or sexy ways)? Does she see Anakin's dark aider ways being reflected in the rest of their family as they hide?
Gender or Sex Swap - Always the Opposite Gender Alternate Reality (Requested Characters Only): I would equally love Anakin and Padmé as Cis characters who were born as different sexes or trans characters who identify differently than they do in canon. I would really love to see how their relationship might change had their genders been reversed. Would female! Anakin have gone with the Jedi, or would she have found a home with Padmé's handmaidens, being a local hero of the Naboo? If you swap sexes entirely: force-sensitivity magic that makes Anakin pregnant, not Padme. How does Anakin's pregnancy change their relationship — especially given how long she is pregnant while she is deployed in the outer rim? How would Padmé feel about Anakin's pregnancy? If making Anakin or Padmé trans, how does that affect their relationship? How might the Jedi or the Senate handle their gender identity? I’d love to see some world building on how gender might be viewed in the galaxy far far away.
Ghost Who Does Not Realize They are Dead: I would love to see something where Anakin, post-Mustafar, is absolutely haunted by a Padmé who keeps appearing toward him and not understanding that she is dead. How does he deal with this? Does he want her to stay, even if seeing her drives him mad? Does she know who and what he is, or she frightened by this monster who appears whenever she looks for her husband? Is she looking for her kids? Do they both suffer the hell of not having their children, if for vastly different reasons?
Hurt/Comfort - Almost Mortal Wound: I would love to see one or these two hurt very badly and the other suffering for it. If its Padmé who is injured, does Anakin try to find a way to get to see her and if so, how? Does he blame himself for her injury? Does he decide to hurt the people who hurt her? If it's Anakin injured, how does Padmé deal with it, especially when/if Anakin is so far away? Given how much more public her role is, is it even possible for her to go to his side?
Hurt/Comfort - Bathing: I would love to see a quiet moment during the war where one gives the other a bath. If it's Anakin in the bath, how does Padmé react to all the new scars he's brought home, both physically and mentally? Does his arm require special help to clean/bathe around? If it's Padmé getting the bath, I would love to see Anakin helping her bathe during her pregnancy and marveling/freaking out about how her body has changed and how quickly he is going to be a dad and wanting her to feel comfortable.
Hurt/Comfort - Hurt character isn't quite lucid: I would love to see a moment where Anakin or Padmé is hurt enough that they just can't remember the whole relationship is a secret thing (which lbr they barely remember anyway!). How does the other protect the secret? Or is the story told by a third party (Obi-Wan? Ahsoka? A handmaiden? Palpatine? A random clone? Bail?) who finds out their secret and, if so, what do they do about it, if anything?
Hurt/Comfort - In an Isolated Location: For these two, I'd love to see some conflict about how an isolated location is ideal for them since they can be free to express their emotions... But are also stuck In an isolated place super aware of all the things they should be doing for the republic and neither can quite enjoy the time alone when they're aware people are dying because they're not in action.
Hurt/Comfort - Nightmares - Character crying in their sleep: Anakin seems to almost be the default for this, given his canon nightmares, and I'm always up for more Anakin angst! How does Padmé react to seeing him cry out in his sleep? How does he react to seeing her upon waking? I'd also love to see Padmé having a nightmare and Anakin trying to comfort her.
Long-Distance Relationship - Epistolary: Given how much of their romance has to be spent apart given Anakin's job, how do they keep in touch? How do they manage to share their love for one another in no doubt very well examined correspondence? What might their letters or other writings to one another look like?
Magical Pregnancy: Padmé being pregnant with force sensitive twins and manifesting a bit of their powers is one of my favorite tropes. I love Padmé feeling so unsure about her pregnancy and worried about keeping it a secret and then struggling even harder as she suddenly feels more of the universe than she ever felt possible. How does she excuse randomly levitating things in staff meetings? Is she able to read people's emotions? Does she suddenly develop the ability to talk to Anakin through the force? How might she try to keep these newfound powers under control? Would someone (Yoda, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Palps?) realize why the senator from Naboo is suddenly a powerful force sensitive?
One-Sided Correspondence - Epistolary:These two are in some terrible stuff for a couple years and I would easily imagine one might have a diary where they talked about the other and the events they're living through. Would Padmé open up on the pages of her journal about her pregnancy and the inconveniences of being married to a Jedi? Would Anakin keep a log of all the ways he missed her? What might someone who stumbled across this later think of it?
Outsider POV - POV Character Trying To Determine If Other Characters Are In A Relationship: Not that it's exactly hard with these two but I'd love to see someone investigate their relationship for some reason. Perhaps Ahsoka, Obi-Wan and/or Mace and/or Yoda are trying to ascertain whether Anakin is keeping his vows? Perhaps a handmaiden or Panaka or Padmé's sister/nieces are evaluating Anakin and making sure he isn't a security threat? Maybe Palps or Dooku want to manipulate one or the other? Or a bounty hunter is getting frustrated at just how far the Jedi might go to protect their mark? Or perhaps they are all tailing them, and Anakin and Padmé remain completely, blissfully ignorant of the crowd behind them?
Secret Relationship - forbidden/taboo:I would love any sweet, sweet angst about the secret nature of their relationship. How tough is it to try to not be public? Do either of them ever worry about the others faithfulness? Or do either of them wind up kinking on it, eg only I can see you like this and no one knows?
Padmé Amidala & Leia Organa
Note: If you want to write the twins together or apart, feel free! I don't have a preference.
Captivity - Prisoner of War: I would love to see what might have happened had Padmé survived ROTS but Leia eventually wound up in the a Organa household, either because Padmé was captured by the Empire or because Padmé gave her up so Anakin wouldn't find her. She then continued the fight for the republic with the rebels/partisans and eventually was captured by the Empire. How would Leia feel about her mother in these cases? Would this motivate her feelings to fight for the rebellion as an adult, or would their relationship be substantially more complicated?
Captivity - Failed Escape/Rescue: I would love to see some angst where Leia is taken by Vader from the Organa family after Padmé has given Leia up. Padmé vows to bring their daughter home and dares to hunt Leia down, but what happens when she finds her? Is Leia already too far gone? Does she prefer Vader to the Organa household? Or does she have such a mellowing effect on Vader that Padmé decides its better for the universe for him to keep her? Or can she simply not break his heart one more time by taking away his daughter? Or does she not get to decide anything at all as Vader will do anything possible to keep his family together - even killing/capturing the woman he loves?
Ghosts - Character Haunts Other Character(s):I would love spooky fic where Leia just had this ghost haunting her childhood. Does she know who it is? How does the ghost appear to her? Does she give Leia little gifts or make other attempts to communicate? Can anyone else see the ghost?
Ghosts/Undead - Character Is Dead and Doesn't Know It: I would love Padmé post death horror fic where she keeps trying to be a mother to her daughter but she is dead and Leia.... Doesn't understand and is terrified of her. How does Leia deal with this? How does Padmé? Is she able to communicate at all with her daughter? Does she remember anything between "visits"?
Hurt/Comfort - Hurt Character Blabs Important Secret to Comforter: I would love to see an imperial! Au where Padmé chose to stay with Anakin and Leia grew up with her biological parents but joined the rebellion anyway. And then of course in true h/c tradition Leia is hurt on a mission and rescued by her mother and winding up blabbing important information on the rebellion while she isn't conscious. How does Leia feel once she realizes what she does? Does Padmé keep this information a secret? Does she help Leia? Does she once again choose Anakin and tell him, despite the cost to her conscience and her relationship with her daughter?
Long Lost/Secret Relatives - Daughter: I would love to see how Padmé might feel if she had lived past ROTS, but still gave Leia to the Organas so she could grow up in a more normal life. She knows what she's doing is best for her little girl, but how does she feel when she sees Leia growing up without her? How do they react when that secret is revealed?
Long Lost/Secret Relatives - Long Lost Son: I would love to see an AU where Padmé stayed with Leia but allowed Luke to go to Tatooine with Obi-Wan and later, the twins learn of one another's existence. How would this new revelation change how Leia views her mother, knowing that her mother gave away one of her two children? How might Padmé feel about trying to balance the child she already has with the one she gave away? And how does Luke feel about being the child she sent away?
On the Run - Together: I would love to see a fic where Padmé doesn't confront Anakin on Mustafar and instead goes into hiding with her babies. How does she try to raise her children while avoiding the Empire? Does she try to run away from Vader?
Politics - Political Machinations: If Padmé had raised her daughter, how would she feel about Leia becoming a senator in the imperial senate? Would Leia be more aware of the dangers? Would she be as a different sort of senator had she been raised by her mom? Or would Leia remain mostly the same, but with better outfits?
Resurrection - came back wrong: I would love to see young Leia's reaction to what might have become her mother had she somehow Come Back Wrong as an eldrich creature (how she is a spooky eldrich woman is up to you, body horror is my jam and I'm always up for a new version) and decided to find her daughter. How would Leia deal with this? Would she reach out and try to help her mother or would she be horrified? How would the Organas react to this?
Resurrection from Virtual Ghost: I'm always struck by how many ways people can "live on" in the Star Wars: holos, data pads, the force, etc. I would love to see Leia seeing a holo or a museum Droid or a soap opera about Padmé. How would she feel about it? How would the Organas take it? Would her feelings change as she grew older?
Telepathy - Telepathy is Inherited from Parents: What I would live to see is Padmé having to deal with a daughter who can communicate with her other parent mentally but not her. (What canon divergent universe this occurs in is up to you - Anakin never fell? Darth Vader has the same arc as canon but Padmé living? How does this affect the relationship between Padmé and her daughter?
Padmé Amidala & Luke Skywalker
Note: If you want to write the twins together or apart, feel free! I don't have a preference.
Captivity - Prisoner of War: I would love to see what might have happened had Padmé survived ROTS but Luke eventually wound up in the Lars household anyway, either because Padmé was captured by the Empire or because Padmé gave him up so Anakin wouldn't find Luke while Padmé continued the fight for the republic. How would Luke feel about his mother if this happened? Would she feel bad about Luke basically growing up in poverty? Would this motivate her feelings to fight for the rebellion as an adult, or would their relationship be substantially more complicated?
Captivity - Failed Escape/Rescue: I would love to see some angst where Luke is taken by Vader from the Lars family after Padmé has given Luje up. Padmé vows to bring their son home to the Lars' and dares to hunt Luke down, but what happens when she finds him? Is Luke already too far gone? Does he prefer Vader to the Lars household? Or does he have such a mellowing effect on Vader that Padmé decides it’s better for the universe for him to keep his son after all? Or can she simply not break Vader's heart by taking away his son? Or does she not get to decide anything at all as Vader will do anything possible to keep his family together - even killing/capturing the woman he loves?
Ghosts - Character Haunts Other Character(s): I would love spooky fic where Luke just had this ghost haunting his childhood. Does he know who it is? How does the ghost appear to him? Does she give Luke little gifts or make other attempts to communicate? Can anyone else see the ghost?
Ghosts/Undead - Character Is Dead and Doesn't Know It: I would love Padmé post death horror fic where she keeps trying to be a mother to her son but she is dead and Luke.... Doesn't understand who she is and is terrified of her. How does Luke deal with this? How does Padmé? Is she able to communicate at all with her son? Does she remember anything in these "visits"?
Hurt/Comfort - Hurt Character Blabs Important Secret to Comforter: I would love to see an imperial! Au where Padmé chose to stay with Anakin and Lujd grew up with his biological parents but joined the rebellion anyway. And then of course in true h/c tradition Luke is hurt on a mission and rescued by her mother and winding up blabbing important information on the rebellion while he isn't conscious. How does Luke feel once he realizes what he has done? Does Padmé keep this information a secret? Does he help Leia? Does she once again choose Anakin and tell him, despite the cost to her conscience and her relationship with her son?
Long Lost/Secret Relatives - Daughter: I would love to see an AU where Padmé stayed with Luke but allowed Leia to go to Alderaan with Bail and later, the twins learn of one another's existence. How would this new revelation change how Luke views his mother, knowing that her mother gave away one of her two children? How might Padmé feel about trying to balance the child she already has with the one she gave away? And how does Leia feel about being the child she sent away?
Long Lost/Secret Relatives - Long Lost Son: I would love to see how Padmé might feel if she had lived past ROTS, but still gave Luke to the Lars' so he could grow up with a more normal life. She knows what she's doing is best for her little son, but how does she feel when she sees Luke growing up without her? Does she feel guilty seeing Luke grow up without the resources/money she had as a child?
On the Run - Together: I would love to see a fic where Padmé doesn't confront Anakin on Mustafar and instead goes into hiding with her babies. How does she try to raise her children while avoiding the Empire? Does she try to run away from Vader?
Politics - Political Machinations: If Padmé had raised her son, how would she feel about Luke's role in the greater political climate? Would she allow her son to become a handmaid (or the male equivalent) or a senator? Would she be worried about him idealong with Palpatine and Vader?
Resurrection - came back wrong: I would love to see young Luke's reaction to what might have happened had Padme somehow Come Back Wrong as an eldritch creature (how Padme is a spooky eldritch woman is up to you, body horror is my jam and I'm always up for a new version) and decided to find her son. How would Luke deal with this? Would he reach out and try to help his mother or would he be horrified? How would the Lars react to this?
Resurrection from Virtual Ghost: I'm always struck by how many ways people can "live on" in the Star Wars: holos, data pads, the force, etc. I would love to see Luke seeing a holo or a museum Droid or a soap opera about Padmé. How would he feel about it? How would Beru or Owen or Leia react to it? Would his feelings change as he grew older?
Telepathy - Telepathy is Inherited from Parents: What I would live to see is Padmé having to deal with a son who can communicate with his other parent mentally but not her. (What canon divergent universe this occurs in is up to you - Anakin never fell? Darth Vader said is in the same position as in canon but Padmé is still living?) How does this affect the relationship between Padmé and her son?
SW: Original Trilogy
Luke Skywalker & Darth Vader
Note: If you want to write the twins together or apart, feel free! I don't have a preference.
Badass and Child duo: I would love to see Vader and Luke unite to combat a greater foe, whether it's nature or just teaming up to fight another enemy. What do they learn fighting together? Does either of them eventually break this casual alliance?
Captivity - Enforcer's POV: I would love to see Vader's perspective if he was able to successfully capture Luke. What would he do? How would he handle having Luke in the brig? And how would Luke handle it? Or if you want to flip things, what would Luke go through if Vader somehow was captured by the Alliance? To which side would Luke find his allegiances?
Captivity - Failed Escape/Rescue: I would love to see how Vader and/ or Luke would deal with both somehow being captured by someone who is wise to all the tricks they could pull. Who kidnaps them - an imperial who figure out their secrets? Mace Windu of another Jedi? A bounty hunter wise to Jedi tricks?
Captivity - Prisoner of War: I would love to see something that examines how Luke's POV might change if he was subjected to being a long term prisoner of war. Maybe Luke is captured by an imperial who doesn't believe he is who he says he is, and Vader and the rebellion both seek to find him? How does Luke deal with the stress of his long term situation and his connections to both imperials and the rebellion?
Enemy Family Members - Can't Bring Themselves to Kill Each Other: Please just give me all the sweet, sweet angst and/or crack of Luke and Vader being in positions where it's obvious to everyone else that they should try to finish the epic battle between them to and then they they... Don't. And can't. And imperials/rebels notice.
Enemy Family Members - Try to Take Care of Each Other: I love the idea of family members taking on risk to care for one another despite the massive risks to doing so. Does Vader or Luke contract an illness or are grievously injured, leading one to try to find and try to help the other? Does Vader send Luke long form letters anonymously? Does Luke ever try to teach out to Vader and help ease his pain, even subconsciously?
Enemy Family Members - Try to Recruit Each Other: I really would love to see something set between ESB and ROTJ where Vader and Luke come into one another's orbit and both try to recruit one another to the other side. Is either tempted? Does either imagine they'll be successful? Is either successful and if so, how?
Enemy Mine - No One Else Gets to Kill You: I've always wondered what Luke and Vader's relationship might have been like had Luke not gone to Bepsin and this had not learned of Vader's connection to him and Yoda and Obi-Wan never told him, so Luke still believes still that Anakin was murdered by Darth Vader! If they met again after that, how would Vader deal with a son who only sought his death? Would he be thrown off? Would he meet the challenge? Would this Luke, upon realizing the lie told to him through his whole life, be more likely to fall to Vader's dark side, or would he simply wish to kill Vader, tossing off any claims as just an enemy's lie?
Resurrection from Virtual Ghost: I'm always struck by how many ways people can "live on" in the Star Wars: holos, data pads, the force, etc. I would love to see Luke seeing a holo or a museum Droid or finding a clone of Anakin the Emperor made but didn't use use post ROTJ or any other scifi concept where the person is rebuilt from others ideas of what they should be. How would he feel about it? Would he want to communicate with this virtual remnant of the father he never had, or would he feel the entire experience is "wrong" in some way?
Stranded in Enemy Territory: I would love to see an exploration of what might happen if Luke is forced to go undercover for the rebellion on the Executor and Vader allows him to stay, but not without letting Luke know that he absolutely knows what the hell he's up to, figuring the boy will make friends among imperials and, after all, Luke is by his side and he'd rather have him there under false pretenses than not have him there at all. Do other imperials suspect anything about them? Is Luke uncomfortable with the treatment he receives there? Does he find it harder to fight imperials after realizing some of them might be good people in bad government? Does he find it harder to stay true to the rebels? And what of his relationship with his secret dad? (And is Vader just as bad as hiding his secret relationship to Luke as he was with hiding his secret relationship to Padmé?)
Stranded in space: Luke and Vader are both such flyboys and there simply isn't enough exploration of what might happen if something was to go wrong in space. What happens if one of their ships develops a serious malfunction during a firefight? Would Luke or Vader protect the other while the other tried desperately to repair their systems? Would either feel if the other reached out in what they thought would be their final moments, only to survive? Or would they perhaps be more deliberate about their stranding - would Luke or Vader purposefully blow an engine or maroon themselves when they're on the shuttle together in ROTJ, deciding to take neither side in the conflict of only for a moment of more time together?
Stranded on a Hostile Planet: One of my favorite tropes is enemies being forced to call a trice to battle a strange and hostile place. How do Luke and Vader find themselves struggling here and how do cons to one another's aid? How do they get out of this place? Do they learn anything important about one another during this experience?
Stranded On a Magical Island: The Mortis arc on Clone Wars is one of my favorites and I love the idea of spooky petty eldritch characters messing with the chosen one and his son. If they crash land on Mortis (or even just a planet like it), how do Luke and Vader react to the unnatural island? Does the magical island and/or its inhabitants drive them together, or apart? And what kind of torturous magical allegories do they have to suffer through?
Stranded on an uninhabited planet: I would love to see what might happen if if Luke and Vader somehow both crash land in an uninhabited place and are forced to survive on the whims of nature. Is either surprisingly adapt in the environment they've found themselves in, or are they both totally useless (perhaps a water world and neither can swim?). How might they take the news that they are reliant on one another. Would they grow closer together or would they find it difficult to be near one another so long? Would either feel conflicted upon rescue?
Soulbonds - created by an enemy: I love how the mental communicating/soul bonding is used in TLJ where Rey and Kylo can not only mentally communicate but somewhat can also see one another and be affected by the others environment. Since it's implied this is a dark side power from Snoke manipulating Kylo/Rey, I would love to see either Vader or the Emperor forming a connection through the force between Vader and Luke. If the Emperor does it, when does he make it flare between them? Does he do so to try to put Vader and Luke in conflict (eg Luke seeing Vader execute his officers) or purposefully poke holes in moments when they feel vulnerable (eg Luke seeing Vader with his helmet off, or Vader seeing Luke visiting Obi-Wan's hovel or the husk of what was the Lars farm)? If so would that pull them apart or make them closer? If Vader does it, are there physical effects to tying himself to his son in the force? How does Luke react to this? Do they suffer from being apart? Does Luke find a way to undo it and how do either of them react to that?
Ghosts - Character Haunts Other Character(s): I would love to see Vader haunting the fuck of the out of Luke post ROTJ and how they navigate their relationship then. What's death like? Do Anakin and Luke maintain their closeness after the Empire falls? Are there rules for when if Vader can appear? Do they ever argue and I so what about? Do other people see Anakin, or is it just Luke talking to himself?
Guardian Angels - Character Must Protect Their Enemy After Death: I would love an AU where Luke does not survive ROTJ because Vader didn't react fast enough. Vader, suicidal for the second time in his life, keeps trying to die, only to be rescued by a guardian force ghost. Would he find relief in this or only find it a further torment? Would Luke forgive him for his lack of action?
Telepathy - Sharing Dreams: I adore the idea of Luke and Vader subconsciously reaching toward one another in the force. How would this work? Would Vader dream about the son he might have had for years, unaware those dreams were shared with his actual son? Would Luke have dreams of his father at different points in his life that might change abruptly when Vader figures out who Luke is to him? How would Vader and Luke deal with these dream chats once they were aware of their relationship to one another - would they use it as a way to say things they can't say in person, nor knowing the dream is actually the other person? Or would they perhaps avoid sleeping to try to find one another? How would it affect them?
Enemies Forced to Work Together - Needing Help From A Villain To Defeat Another Villain: I would love to see a plot where Luke makes a Faustian bargain with Vader that he will go with him if Vader promises to aid the rebellion in defeating Palpatine. How does Luke decide to make this decision and how does he handle being at Vader's side? How does Vader work for the rebellion and does he feel conflicted about that, or is he just happy to have his son in his life? How do Leia and the others in the rebellion and /or Palpatine and what's left of the Empire react to this?
Leia Organa & Darth Vader
Note: If you want to write the twins together or apart, feel free! I don't have a preference.
Badass and Child duo: I would love to see Vader and Leia unite to combat a greater foe, whether they need to do so to fend off some natural threat or just teaming up to fight another enemy. What leads to them fighting on the same side? Does either suspect the others connection to themselves? Does either of them eventually break this casual alliance? How much sass is flowing between them?
Captivity - Enforcer's POV: I would love to see Vader's perspective on holding Leia captive, either during ANH or ESB (or hypothetically post ROTJ)? Would he figure out if she is his daughter and, if so, would his treatment of her change? How would she react to this news? If post ROTJ, what sort of discussion might they have? And how would Leia handle being held by her bio-dad? Or if you want to flip things, what would Leia do if Vader somehow was captured by the Alliance? Would she be tempted to pay him back in kind for how he treated her and Han on the Death Star and Bespin respectively? If she goes through with that, how would Vader react to torture and what manner might she choose to torture him? If she doesn't, why?
Captivity - Failed Escape/Rescue: I would love to see Leia doing her best to escape Vader, but not succeeding due to various issues and eventually realizing that escape is going to be inevitable. How does Leia feel about this? Does she stop resisting Vader and submit to her birth father's demands? Or does she continue to resist in her own ways, biding her time until she can escape? How does Vader deal with the gut-punch of seeing the last remaining link he as to Padmé reject him over and over again?
Captivity - Prisoner of War: I would love to see Vader wind up being take prisoner of war, and for whatever reason his connection with Leia is discovered by one of them and the two are struggling to come to terms with it. Does Vader want to remain with the alliance to be with her? Does she want to know him at all or is she horrified by this new family member, or somewhere in the middle? I'd love to see this being a messy and hard relationship where they both make mistakes and both don't necessarily come to one another with the best ideals and have to try to work to get to the same page - if they ever do.
Enemy Family Members - Can't Bring Themselves to Kill Each Other: I would love to see Vader and Leia both realizing their connection to one another but never quite being able to find common ground and as a result there is nothing between them but a slow fight to the death. How do they treat this? Does Vader hesitate to hurt her, but still does so? Does she hesitate to cut him down, and can't figure out why? How do either of them quite deal with this? Is there interference on either of their behalfs from Luke or the Emperor?
Enemy Family Members - Try to Take Care of Each Other: I love the idea of family members taking on risk to care for one another despite the massive risks to doing so. For these two, I would love to see Vader finding out about his daughter instead of his son and being equally obsessed with her and trying to provide for her in ways Leia would reject - writing letters, sending her "gifts", etc. Unfortunately, Leia contracts an illness or is grievously injured to the point that the only person who can help her is Vader. Does he reach out to do so, or does Leia have to suffer the indignity of reaching out to him? Does he decide to help? If so, does Leia resent it? Or does it go the other way, where Vader needs something from his daughter and she needs to decide whether ot per him die or help him?
Enemy Family Members - Try to Recruit Each Other: I have always loved the father's heart series by fernwithy that posits Leia and Vader had a friendly relationship while Leia was growing up but the connection between them withered during the war and would love to see an AU where they had once been friends but the war made them enemies (not necessarily the events of Father's Heart, just similar circumstances). If they had been friends, does either try to convert one another to the other sides? Do they ever figure out why they're so similar? Is either successful at getting the other to join them and if so, how?
Enemy Mine - No One Else Gets to Kill You: I love how much Leia absolutely hates her biodad and I would love to see some of her attempts to murderate him. Why does she hate him so much? Is it just that he's an imperial and a high ranking one or is it lore than that? Does Vader have the same vendetta toward the princess? Would either of them be able to get past this murderous relationship if Vader had survived ROTJ, or would Leia still decide he needed to die after the war? If so, how would she do it?
Resurrection from Virtual Ghost: I'm always struck by how many ways people can "live on" in the Star Wars: holos, data pads, the force, etc. I would love to see LeiA seeing a holo or a museum Droid or finding a clone of Anakin/Vader the Emperor made but didn't use use post ROTJ or any other scifi concept where the person is rebuilt from others ideas of what they should be. How woulds he feel about it? Would she want to communicate with this virtual remnant of the father she never had, or would her instinct be to destroy it? Would force ghost Anakin help her at all in either direction? How would she handle seeing him again in some way?
Stranded in Enemy Territory: I would love to see an AU where Vader realizes that he has Hai daughter while she's held on the Death Star or on Bespin and Anakin being Anakin instantly changes his priorities to focus on her. How does she deal with this new complication in her life? Does he convince her to try to change the empire from the inside? Does she convince him to go to the rebellion? Or are they both arguing like cats and dogs?
Stranded in space: Vader's ship in ANH gets jettisoned into spaaacccccce. Eventually in canon he gets picked up by the Imperial fleet, but what would happen if he got picked up by the rebel fleet instead? Would they try to convert him to their side? Hold him as prisoner? Ditch him into space? Would he and Leia find any compromise or would they make done another miserable?
Stranded on a Hostile Planet: One of my favorite tropes is enemies being forced to call a truce to battle a strange and hostile place. How do Leia and Vader find themselves struggling here? Can they come to terms with being temporary allies or do they refuse to come to one another's aid? How do they get out of this place? Do they learn anything important about one another during this experience?
Stranded On a Magical Island: The Mortis arc on Clone Wars is one of my favorites and I love the idea of spooky petty eldritch characters messing with the chosen one and his son. If they crash land on Mortis (or even just a planet like it), how do Leia and Vader react to the unnatural island? Does the magical island and/or its inhabitants drive them together, or apart? And what kind of torturous magical allegories do they have to suffer through?
Stranded on an uninhabited planet: I would love to see what might happen if if Leia and Vader somehow both crash land in an uninhabited place and are forced to survive on the whims of nature. Is either surprisingly adapt in the environment they've found themselves in, or are they both totally useless? How might they take the news that they are reliant on one another? .
Since it's implied this is a dark side power from Snoke manipulating Kylo/Rey, I would love to see either Vader or the Emperor forming a connection through the force between Vader and LeiA. If the Emperor does it, when does he make it flare between them? Is it to make Vader angry by showing how much Leia is like Padme? Do either of them understand why this is happening? Does this give them new insecurities of their vulnerabilities (like Vader with his helmet off or Leia crying over Alderman? If so would that pull them apart or make them closer? If Vader does it, are there physical effects to tying himself to his daugher in the force? How does Leia react to this? Do they suffer from being apart? Does Leia find a way to undo it and how do either of them react to that?
Ghosts - Character Haunts Other Character(s): I would love to see Vader haunting the fuck of the out of Lei post ROTJ and how they navigate their relationship then. What's death like? How do Anakin and Leia handle their sudden relationship to one another? Are there rules for when/if Vader can appear? Do they ever argue and if so what about? Do other people see Anakin, or is it just Leia talking to herself?
Guardian Angels - Character Must Protect Their Enemy After Death: I would love to see what might happen if Vader decides he will be Leia's Guardian angel/ghost as a way to make amends to Leia post ROTJ. Would she find relief in this or only find it a further torment? What would he be protecting her from?
Telepathy - Sharing Dreams: I adore the idea of Leia and Vader subconsciously reaching toward one another in the force and neither really understanding it. How would this work? Would Vader dream about the daughter he might have had for years, unaware those dreams were shared with his actual daughter? How would Vader and Leia deal with these dream chats? Would they figure out their relationship? Would they use it as a way to say things they can't say in person, nor knowing the dream is actually the other person? Or would they perhaps avoid sleeping to try to find one another? How would it affect them?
Enemies Forced to Work Together - Needing Help From A Villain To Defeat Another Villain: I would love to see a plot where Leia makes a Faustian bargain with Vader that she will go with him if Vader promises to aid the rebellion in defeating Palpatine. How does Leia decide to make this decision and how does she handle being at Vader's side? How does Vader work for the rebellion and does he feel conflicted about that? What value does Leia hold for him in his life - does he figure it out? How do Luke and the others in the rebellion and /or Palpatine and what's left of the Empire react to this?
Padmé Amidala/Darth Vader
Alternate Reality - Character Meets Romantic Interest From Alternate Universe: I would love to see what night happen had a Padme who had lived but had never gotten together with Anakin (either out of lack of interest, or if he died fighting Dooku in AOTC, or whatever the reason) meet Vader. How different were their universes? How do they feel about meeting? Do they wind up falling in love or at least becoming friends?
Amnesia - Affected person forgets the terrible things they've done: Darth Vader allegedly gets yet another concussion (he’s had a lot of hits to the head) and forgets everything post-ROTS. Cue Padmé Amidala and the Rebellion/Partisan’s/Naberrie’s/Organas/Lars’ getting Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker breaking down their (metaphorical?) door and demanding to be back with his wife and nobody quite being sure, exactly, if forgetting all he bad things you’ve done is enough to trust someone. Would Padmé accept him or reject him? Would Anakin/Vader (whichever you want to go with) believe he’d done some of the things they said he was?
Amnesia - Nobody is sure whether it's real or they're pretending: Darth Vader allegedly gets yet another concussion (he’s had a lot of hits to the head) and forgets everything post-ROTS. Is he telling the truth or is he faking? How does Padmé take this news? Is she willing to believe that he’s changed? Has he? Is this a desperate plot to find a way to be with the woman who he loves, or he is genuine? And can either of them live with that ambiguity strung out between them?
Doomed Relationship: I feel like this is inevitably so for them, and has always been. But I would love to see how it feels to still feel doomed even though they’ve been married (if on opposite sides?) by the time of ANH/ESB – twenty years after their wedding. How do they feel about their marriage? Are they still in love, hate, or a mix of/something between the two? Is there relationship a past secret, or a current one? How do they handle being around one another?
Enemies Forced To Work Together: I would love to see something about them having parted in ROTS as in canon (but Padmé surviving) and Anakin/Vader somehow being forced to work with her – are they both fighting Palpatine, if in different ways? Have they crash landed on a planet and have to rely on one another to survive? What kind of relationship do they have? Do they still feel anything for the other person? Does the situation that they’re in spark some of those old feelings, or is there nothing left but hate?
Enemy Mine - No One Else Gets to Defeat You: I love the idea of Padmé deciding that she will be the person that defeats Darth Vader, and no one can convince them otherwise. What’s her motivation – is it that she knows him the best and is the one most likely to be able to kill him? Is it that she loves him and thinks a death at the hands of someone he loves would be a mercy? Can she actually follow through with this plan, and what is his reaction to her? Can he bring himself to try to kill her?
Grand Romantic Gesture - Murder of a Third Party as Romantic Gesture: I would love to see Vader deciding that he will just, you know, get rid of the people that are keeping him and Padmé from being together. If she’s in the Rebellion, certain high-profile imperial targets just might wind up getting sent to her as a bit of a prize — how does she feel about this? Does she think that this is a convenient method of weakening the empire? Is she horrified by Anakin/Vader taking other’s lives for her benefit? How exactly does she react the next time she sees him?
Ghosts - Character Haunts Other Character(s): I absolutely adore the idea of Vader getting absolutely haunted by Padmé. He is so grief-worn by the end of ROTS, I would love to see what happens when just a shadow of her appears to him in the OT. I love her haunting a Darth Vader who did everything in his power to save her, and now he's being visibly shown it wasn't enough. Give me sadness and angst and messed up relationship dynamics and let me absolutely revel in it. The sadder the better; want to make it so she just holds her throat whenever he sees her? Great. Her reaching out for him constantly in mirrored surfaces, him being mad he can never reach her hand? Go for it. Give me something horrifically sad and let me revel in it. Is he thankful to have even this little bit of her? Is it just more proof he is cursed?
Hurt/Comfort - Almost Mortal Wound: I would love to see what might happen if they had met on the battlefield after having been fighting for the Empire/Rebellion for a few years. If it’s Anakin who is injured, does Padmé help him? If so, how does she explain keeping him safe to her rebel patriots? If It’s Padmé who is hurt, how does Vader manage to save her? Whoever is hurt, are they happy about seeing one another again, or does it make their lives worse? Does the comforter hate them more for being unable to let them die, or is a part of them glad to comfort them again?
Hurt/Comfort - Comforter is the One Who Hurt Them: I would love to see what might happen if Vader or Padmé was captured by the other side during the war. If Vader is captured by the Rebellion, and they decide to have Padmé torture him, how would she feel about it? Does she feel like she has to protect him, no matter how badly he's betrayed her? How is she there for him once its over? If so, is he glad or does he resent it? (Would her presence be torture enough?) If Padmé is captured by the Empire, how does Vader handle torturing her? Does he hurt her physically or emotionally? How does he care for her afterwards? Does the torture change how either feels about the other?
In Denial - In Love and In Denial About It: I would love to see where these two are so obviously in love but, even years after ROTS, and yet both cannot openly claim one another, and both struggle with their feels toward the other, knowing that they should no longer feel this way (but ultimately unable to fight it). How do they express that denial? Do they reject one another? Does anyone sense there is more to their relationship than either one will admit to?
Lovers To Enemies - Can't Bring Themselves To Hurt The Other: I would love to see Anakin or Padmé’s reaction to one another when they are on different sides. They might know that they should hurt one another — that there is no reason to keep the other alive. And yet. Things are messy and complicated between them and there’s a lot of bad feelings, but neither can bear to hurt the other. Only problem? Fate/the Force/Palpatine always seems to be putting them in positions where they ought to, and Padmé and Vader struggle visibly with being able to go through with it.
Lovers To Enemies - Still In Love With The Other: I would love to see these two fighting against one another publicly and knowing their actions might hurt the other but also still not-quite be able to quite the other — maybe they only meet on the battlefield, or maybe they have little tet-a-tets in peace meetings, or maybe Padmé is the only person in the rebellion who has a passcode to Vader’s Angst Castle — and he knows perfectly well that she might be coming there to steal his plans, but he’d never miss seeing her when she comes. What do their private moments look like? Do either of them think they have any future together? Or are they just unwilling to let go?
Outsider POV - Heroic Character's Canon-Typical Behavior Scares Those Who Don't Know Their Reason: I honestly feel like “canon-typical behavior scares those who don’t know their reason” is 100% a sane reaction to Vader or Padmé. Anakin’s fixation on her is nothing new, and I can absolutely see him going ballistic if she were in danger at all, and another Imperial character suddenly panicking that their dark lord is compromised! Or Padmé absolutely going balls to the wall, charging across the battlefield, knowing that Anakin won’t let a single bit of blasterfire hit her — but to all her Rebel companions who don’t know her history, it looks like she’s committing a particularly elaborate death by Darth Vader.
Physical Fight Leading to Sex: I love rough-fight-to-death-actually-turns-into-Sex, and I think it makes sense for these two, who once loved one another so much they were wiling to get married despite some pretty serious reasons not to, and now are (presumably?) on opposite sites as their political differences become too big a cross to bear. How do they wind up fighting and how does it lead to fucking? Given that Vader’s in full body armor, is it even possible for him to have a spontaneous sexual experience? Dub-con for this is fine, along with potential regret if either allows it to happen. How do they feel about it? Is their sexual experience similar to what it was before Anakin took the lava bath, either in the feeling of one another’s bodies, or in the actual activities done?
Protection - Smaller/Weaker Character Physically Protects Injured Larger/Stronger Character: I would love to see Padmé defending her bigger, badder husband, because we all know between Padmé and Anakin, she’s the true bad-ass. How does this happen – is she the Empress of his Empire, defending their throne room in a last and final gasp against a rebellion? Is she on the other side but unable to watch him die? How does she defend him? Is he thankful for this?
Recovery - Catastrophic Injury: I would love to see a quiet moment of reflection between them here on just how badly Anakin has been injured; Padmé helping Vader with cleaning his mechanical limbs or attaching them? Padmé helping him hook up his ventilator or helping him put on the helmet or the like? How does she react to his body being so different than it was when she was married? In some of the tie-in novels, it’s mentioned that she doesn’t see a difference between his mechanical arm and his flesh and blood one in the prequels — does that still hold true when he’s a quadrapolic? I’m fine with body horror so please feel free to make his injuries as bad as you’d like.
Redemption - Living with the Consequences of Your Actions: If Padmé had lived past ROTS, and even as far as ROTJ – how would she treat Vader’s redemption? Would she take him back, or would she spurn him? What would their relationship be like? How would hteir meeting go? Do their children have any input one way or the other?
Revolution - Leading Revolution Against Former Lover: Padmé Amidala has a cut scene (among many cut scenes in ROTS) where she, Bail, and Mon Mothma make plans that will one day lead to the rebellion. In canon, Bail and Mon go on to form the Rebellion – but what would have happened if she had, and had taken a more frontline based approach? (AOTC shows Padmé Amidala has a gun and is def. willing to travel!)
Shared Dreaming - Neither Dreamer Knows It's Happening: I love the idea shown in The Last Jedi that characters who form close bonds can “meet” in Dreams, even enjoy physical sensations (touch, etc) during them – it’s the mental bond shown in ESB/ROTJ turned up to eleven and its one of my favorite tropes. I’d love to see how Vader and Padmé might have reacted to seeing one another in their dreams — what would either do if they found the other during their dreams post-ROTS? Would Vader believe he is fantasizing? Would Padmé believe the same? Does either know the other is alive? How does Vader look in his mental imagery — is he still Vader, or is there more of Anakin in his dream-state? Any and all world-building about how the force is weird at building connections between souls is absolutely my jam and I’d love to hear about it!
Reunion - Characters meet years after betrayal: I would love to see Vader and Padmé both following their own paths to different ends, and not meeting for a long period of time post-ROTS only to encounter one another again during the original trilogy timeline. How do they meet – is it Padmé that Vader captures on the Tantive IV, not Leia? Or is it Padmé who he seeks to use to lure Luke in Bespin — and is she all too aware of what he’s doing? Or is it Padmé who somehow helps convince Luke that there is good to Vader — and what happens she travels with him to convince Vader of it? Where has she been all those years, and how do either react to seeing one another again?
Resurrection - By Travelling in the Land of the Dead to get someone back: I would love to see a trippy, Star Wars-version of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth. How would Vader decide to go to the land of the dead? Given that he has killed hundreds if not thousands of people indirectly (and probably a good hundred at least directly) — what is the land of the dead like for Vader? Who are the deities of it? Does he manage to take his wife back to the world of the living or does Padmé, like Eurydice, wind up being sent back to the land of the dead by Anakin’s own desires?
Resurrection - A Brings B Back From the Dead: I would love to see a Frankenstein-esque version of Vader trying to bring Padmé back to life. What would this entail? How would he get the idea and how would he do it? Would Sidious allow this or would this, like so much of their relationship, need to be done in secret? What sort of body horror modifications would Padmé need to live once more? Would she even want to? How would she react to being “reborn” and how would she react to Anakin/Vader’s changes in his personality/body? Would she even be able to recognize him?
Villains in Love - Unreformed Villain Defects from Evil for Love: I would love to see what might happen if Vader decided he simply couldn’t bear to be without her, and abruptly moved from fighting against her goals to fighting for them — but not changing his opinions on what is right. How would Padmé react to this? Would his refusal to give up his Sith Lord power cause problems with some of the remaining Jedi? Where would they go together — would they be part of the rebellion, the partisans, on their own, or something entirely different?
BDSM (non-verse) - Powerful Character Is a Sub: I love the idea of a bad-ass and intimidating character actually being submissive, and I’ve always seen Vader as feeling subordinate to Padmé most of the time. Given his health issues in canon, I also think it may well be more likely that during sex, he is in a subordinate position, because he probably doesn’t have a lot of mobility. Is this a change from what they once were? What sort of bdsm acts might they enjoy? Does Vader find a way to get to sub-space, and does this change anything between them?
Resurrection from Virtual Ghost: I'm always struck by how many ways people can "live on" in the Star Wars: holos, data pads, the force, etc. I would love to see Vader seeing a holo or a museum Droid or a soap opera about Padmé. How would he feel about it? How would he take it? Would he watch every episode, write complaining letters, try to get it shut down — or secretly write fanfiction with his own OC? What kind of emotions would seeing her again, even as an actress playing her, evoke?
Rae Sloane & Darth Vader
Badass in Distress: I’m always interested in the relationships between imperial officers and would love to see how Rae Sloane and Darth Vader might get along when the going gets tough. If Vader goes down, how does Sloane and her crack troupe of Imperial soldiers find him? Is this her first command?
Bonding Over Common Enemy: I would love to see more private moments among the imperial officers, who we never really see with Vader beyond him choking them or them kind of cowering/serving him while mostly staying out of his way. Yet no one doubts his competence and they’re all clearly devoted to fighting the rebellion (or Baylo). I’ve always thought Vader and Sloane would get somewhat along (in as much as Vader gets along with anyone) because she, like him, focus on doing a job well and doesn’t believe in owing favors. What sort of bonding would does Vader do with fellow officers? What might their chit-chat be like, post-Baylo/Obedience?
Bonding Over Shared Trauma: I would love to see an OT-era callback to “Orientation” – having vanquished an enemy before, would Vader consider Rae an excellent soldier that he could trust? How might his plans for her change once he begins contemplating rebellion (after discovering Luke in ROTJ)?
Nerds Bonding Over History: What exactly do Rae and the younger generation learn about the Clone Wars? Rae is shown as someone who would dig for the truth — if an old separatist threat were to rear its head, would she be able to recognize it? And would Vader help?
Nerds Bonding Over Science: Rae is someone who checks calculations over and over again and I love the idea of seeing a scene of these two engineering-focused nerds working on solving some sort of mechanical mystery – perhaps someone sabotaging TIEs?
Team Bonding: Darth Vader: Motivational speaker. Are there imperial meetings, conferences, etc, where part of Vader’s job is to motivate team bonding? How on earth does anyone as sulky as Vader accomplish this? Does he choke teams that are insufficiently bonded? What’s Rae’s reaction to this?
Firmus Piett & Darth Vader & Maximilian Veers
Badass in Distress: I’m always interested in the relationships between imperial officers and would love to see how Veers, Piett and Darth Vader might get along when the going gets tough. If Vader goes down, how do Piett and Veers and their Imperial soldiers find him? Are Veers and Piett a united front, or is there competition between them? How does Vader feel about his soldiers trying to help find him?
Bonding Over Common Enemy: I would love to see more private moments among the imperial officers, who we never really see with Vader beyond him choking them or them kind of cowering/serving him while mostly staying out of his way. Yet no one doubts his competence and they’re all clearly devoted to fighting the rebellion. How does Vader bond with fellow officers, if he bonds with them at all? What might their chit-chat be like, if they have any, while fighting the Rebellion? Do they actually care about one another, or are they all out for themselves?
Bonding Over Shared Trauma: I’d be very interested to see some exploration of who Veers, Vader and Piett are and how they got to be where they are, with one another. Both Veers and Vader have sons in the rebellion – Does Piett have family on the other side? What sort of bonds might they have, as part of the imperial crew? Is Vader himself a source of shared trauma between Veers and Piett?
Nerds Bonding Over History/ Nerds Bonding Over Science: I would love to see the Executor, which seems so uncomfortable and so stilted, having some of the major officers bonding to try to overcome a threat. What sort of mystery draws the attention of Veers, Piett and ultimately Vader himself? How do they use history/science to save their ships and themselves?
Team Bonding: Darth Vader: Motivational speaker. Are there imperial meetings, conferences, etc, where part of Vader’s job is to motivate team bonding? How on earth does anyone as sulky as Vader accomplish this? Does he choke teams that are insufficiently bonded? What’s Piett and Veer’s reaction to this?
Firmus Piett & Maximilian Veers
Badass in Distress: I’m always interested in the relationships between imperial officers and would love to see how things work when it comes to rescuing people in a system with a massive hegemony like the Imperial Empire. If Veers or Piett went missing, would it be feasible for the other to find them? How much money would they spent trying to bring back their comrade?
Bonding Over Common Enemy: I would love to see more private moments among the imperial officers, who we never really see with Vader beyond him choking them or them kind of cowering/serving him while mostly staying out of his way. Yet they’re all clearly devoted to fighting the Rebellion. How exactly do Imperial Officers get to relax off hours, when they’re under a threat from a guerilla force that could attack any time? How do Piett and Veers, officers in very different fields (ground/navy) get along? Do they have a rivalry? A friendship? What might their chit-chat be like, if they have any, while fighting the Rebellion? Do they actually care about one another, or are they all out for themselves?
Bonding Over Shared Trauma: I’d be very interested to see some exploration of who Veers and Piett are. Veers has a son in the rebellion – Does Piett have family on the other side? What sort of bonds might they have, as part of the imperial crew? Is Vader himself a source of shared trauma between Veers and Piett? How do they deal with him?
Nerds Bonding Over History/ Nerds Bonding Over Science: I would love to see the Executor crew, which seems so uncomfortable and so stilted, having some of the major officers bonding to try to overcome a threat. What sort of mystery draws the attention of Veers and Piett? How do they use history/science to save their ships and themselves?
Team Bonding: Darth Vader: Motivational speaker. Are there imperial meetings, conferences, etc that Piett and Veers have to attend while Vader drones on and on? What’s Piett and Veer’s reaction to this? Do they sneak notes to one another while he’s talking? Do they go out for drinks afterwards to recover? I’d love to see the aftermath of what a Darth Vader led meeting look like here!
SW: Solo
Lando Calrissian/Han Solo
Bad Pick-Up Lines: Look, both of them strike me as a master of bad, bad pick-up lines: the only difference is Han does it unintentionally; Lando definitively knows he’s dropping a stinker. I’d love to see one of them flirt with the other with some of the worst lines possible, possibly while drunk, and it working, much to the chagrin of the other person. And then it keeps working.
Back-To-Back Badasses: I love the scene in Solo when the Kessel uprising goes to shit and Lando and Han are just tossing guns and covering one another in a fight. I would love to see it happen again, especially if Lando and Han aren’t (inherently) happy to see each other. I just want all the banter mixed with fighting.
Fake/Pretend Relationship - Characters Hate Each Other At First: I love that they're kind of frenemies; not exactly trusting one another, but also knowing that they're better for one another than the alternative. I'd love to see them stuck in a situation beyond their control where they wind up, through shenanigans, being in a fake/pretend relationship to get them both out of a jam. This should be an easy thing, but they kind of have to trust one another and, unfortunately, also THEY HAVE TO SOMEHOW TRUST ONE ANOTHER and it turns out its really hard for these two smugglers to do that.
Heists and Schemes - Complicated Heist Planning: I always appreciate the dynamic between these two and I would love to see them actually planning a job. I think there would be some conflict because they tend to make different bets; Lando isn't quite as into moral stands as Han is in general and isn't quite so much willing to back bad bets. So. Who comes up with the crazy idea? What kind of squad do they acquire for said idea? What's the target?
Heists and Schemes - Long Con: I would love to see what might happen if these guys got caught on a job for a while – maybe stealing tibanna from the Empire to help set up Lando on Cloud City? Han or Lando have to pretend to be something or someone they’re not, and after so long, it’s hard to be themselves when they rendezvous with the other person. Who goes undercover? Who is the runner? Does the stress between who they’re pretending to be and who they actually are lead either to “crack”? How does the runner bring them back to themselves?
Heists & Schemes - Teaming Up For A Heist: I love the idea of Han and Lando being the two who are all in on a potential scheme because literally everyone else has passed. Only problem? They kind of hate one another, and they’re constantly throwing one another under a bus. Do they learn to eventually get along? Or do they wind up resenting one another, and eventually things boil over into hatesex?
Tobias Beckett/Val
Bad Pick-Up Lines: Look, anyone who talks this much about learning to play obscure musical instruments for their baby is definitively a closet romantic, and I’d love to see Beckett try to make Val smile with horrible pick-up lines. How bad are his stinkers? Do they work? Does she find them charming, annoying, or a mix of both?
Back-To-Back Badasses: There’s nothing sexier than a couple who fights together and I’d love to see Beckett or Val being flirty while also kicking ass and taking names. Do they do elaborate stunts to tease one another? Is either distracted by the other’s hijinks? What sort of flirting do they do?
Fake/Pretend Relationship - Characters Hate Each Other At First: Because Val is probably too good at this game, and Beckett has a harder side that he doesn’t show off until Val dies! I’d love to see these two who seem so moony for one another having to pretend that they hate one another and that they’re totally rivals. DO they get away with it? Is it hard for either of them to act annoyed by the other? How do they make it up for one another later?
Heists and Schemes - Complicated Heist Planning: I would love to see one of Beckett and Val's heists from before they met up with Han and co. How'd they get out of a close call in the past? What sort of quarries have they gotten for Vos before? (Or other masters?) How did their first job go? How much planning do they put into their attempts? Does anything go to plan, or do they wind up having to run a lot on the fly?
Heists and Schemes - Long Con: I would love to see what might happen if these two had to pretend to be on opposite sides as part of a con on a job for a while. Would having to pretend to be something or someone they’re not, and after so long, it’s hard to be themselves when they rendezvous with the other person. Who goes undercover? Who is the runner? Does the stress between who they’re pretending to be and who they actually are lead either to “crack” and if so how does the runner bring them back to themselves? Or do they find it disturbingly easy to lie and lie often?
Heists & Schemes - Teaming Up For A Heist: I would love to see a heist between these two from when they had first gotten together – how would they team up for a heist? What skills would each use? Would they make a beautiful team, or would things go wrong?
Crossover Fandom
Leia Organa (SWOT)/Qi'ra (Solo)
Bad Cop and Badder Cop: I would love to see these two intimidating some poor schmuck who dared to piss them both off, especially if its from said schmuck’s POV. How intimidating are Leia and Qi’ra? Do they make a good team? Do they realize they make a good team? Do they wind up flirting with one another in front of some poor person hoping they’re not gonna get intimidated to death?
Bonding Over Shared Trauma: They’re both orphans with more bones in their closet than they have in their body. I’d love to see them bonding at any point, perhaps with some alcoholic beverages involved. Does Qi’ra help the rebellion or the resistance? What sort of activities do they do together? How do they make one another feel better…or do they just bring out the worst in one another?
Cloak and Dagger - Literal Cloak and Dagger: I would love to see Leia and Qi’ra on opposite sides of the war, both fighting against one another but also, being Leia and Qi’ra, being incredibly passionate about one another. When one inevitably betrays the other, does the betrayer feel regret? Does the betrayed person understand their decision — or do they decide to get even?
Communication via Snark: I would love to see Leia’s snarkiness being an attractive trait to Qi’ra, who tends to be a bit more conservative in her speech but, let’s be real, she grew up with Han Solo, she’s used to talking in snarky ways. Does Leia make her feel homesick? Does she hate that she finds Leia’s snarkiness so charming?
Competence Kink - Won Over by Supreme Skills: I would love to see Qi’ra being a bit dismissive of Leia due to her age and her posh background only to find out Leia Organa is a stone cold killing machine when she has to be and being impressed about it. And, naturally, wanting to test her skills against Leia. And, naturally, either kicking ass or getting her ass kissed, and then flirting happens and oh no battle couple.
Driven to Distraction - B Can't Focus on What A Says Because Their Voice is So Sexy: Leia and Qi’ra both have sexy voices and I’d love to hear either of them getting hot and bothered over watching vids/talking to holos of one another. Is this just a fantasy or do they want to do more? Does the other find out how their voice affects them and do they take advantage?
Masquerade Ball: I love masquerade balls, especially if banter during a masquerade leads to passionate kissing/making out/more. Do they know who one another is? What exactly are they at the masquerade ball for? Do they dance together? What are the outfits like? If things progress to sex, how much of their identities do they reveal to one another?
Enemies to Lovers - Sexual coercion / Trading Favors In Exchange For Sexy Dates: I love the idea of Qi’ra being willing to do favors for the Rebellion/Resistance but only in return for Leia’s company. Would Leia be annoyed by this? Why would Qi’ra want Leia? What sort of sexy dates would she take Leia on? Would Leia be seduced by them, and in time want to come to them? Or would Leia always be irritated at being out of action for a while?
Trapped Together - Trapped in Elevator: I love the idea of Leia and Qi’ra being trapped in an elevator and these two badasses having to either fight their way out or bond with one another while trapped in the elevator. How do they take it being stopped? Who is trying to stop them? Do they team up and kick ass or do they contemplate their own mortality — if so, what do they talk about?
Victory is Boring: I love the idea of Leia being somewhat restless in the good times between the Empire falling and the New Republic falling apart, and seeking out trying to fight off some of the smaller criminal groups left around. Turns out, Qi’ra is the leader of one of the largest criminal syndicates left, Crimson Sun. How do they treat one another? Does Qi’ra stir up her life? Does Leia succeed in breaking up Crimson Sun, or does Qi’ra find a way to fight another day?
Chelli Lona Aphra (SWEU)/Qi'ra (Solo)
Bad Cop and Badder Cop: I would love to see these two intimidating some poor schmuck who dared to piss them both off, especially if its from said schmuck’s POV. How intimidating are Aphra and Qi’ra? Do they make a good team? Do they realize they make a good team? Do they wind up flirting with one another in front of some poor person hoping they’re not gonna get intimidated to death?
Bonding Over Shared Trauma: They’re both amoral mercenaries with more bones in their closet than they have in their body. I’d love to see them bonding at any point, perhaps with some alcoholic beverages involved. Does Qi’ra invite Aphra to join Crimson Sun? Does Aphra seduce Qi’ra for an in with her, either as part of a ploy or just because she could always use it? What sort of activities do they do together? How do they make one another feel better…or do they just bring out the worst in one another?
Cloak and Dagger - Literal Cloak and Dagger: I would love to see Aphra and Qi’ra on opposite sides of a dispute and trying their best to out-seduce and out-betray one another in pursuit of their goals. When one inevitably betrays the other, does the betrayer feel regret? Does the betrayed person understand their decision — or do they decide to get even?
Communication via Snark: I would love to see Aphra’s snarkiness being an attractive trait to Qi’ra, who tends to be a bit more conservative in her speech but, let’s be real, she grew up with Han Solo, she’s used to talking in snarky ways. Does Aphra make her feel homesick? Does she hate that she finds Aphra’s snarkiness so charming? Does Aphra try to manipulate her by talking in this fashion?
Competence Kink - Won Over by Supreme Skills: I would love to see Qi’ra being a bit dismissive of Aphra only to find out Aphra is a bad-ass who can out-think most. I would love to see try to recruit Aphra to her team, only to be perennially surprised by Aphra’s refusal and, after making such a stupid move, her continued survival. How does Aphra impress? Does Qi’ra still want to get her on her team, and if so, how does she go about sweetening the pot?
Driven to Distraction - B Can't Focus on What A Says Because Their Voice is So Sexy: Qi’ra has a sexy voice and Aphra — well, we definitively know she can sweet talk Tolvan, so I assume she has a nice voice as well. If they both have sexy voices, I’d love to hear either of them getting hot and bothered over watching vids/talking to holos of one another.
Enemies to Lovers - Sexual coercion / Trading Favors In Exchange For Sexy Dates: I love the idea of Qi’ra being willing to do favors for Aphra on her jobs for others but only in return for Aphra’s company. Why would Qi’ra want Aphra? What sort of sexy dates would she take Aphra on?
Trapped Together - Trapped in Elevator: I love the idea of Aphra and Qi’ra being trapped in an elevator and these two badasses having to either fight their way out or bond with one another while trapped in the elevator. How do they take it being stopped? Who is trying to stop them? Do they team up and kick ass or do they contemplate their own mortality — if so, what do they talk about?
Victory is Boring: I love the idea of Qi’ra being somewhat restless in the good times between the Empire falling and the New Republic falling apart, and seeking out trying to fight off some of the smaller criminal groups left around. Turns out, Aphra is the perfect candidate to try to infiltrate some of these smaller groups. How do they plan to take over these groups? Does Aphra’s non-conventional approach affect Qira’s life?</cut>

How might they take the news that they are reliant on one another? .
