Dear Hurt/Comfort Writer,
Dear hurter/comforter,
Thank you for writing or drawing for me! I am looking forward to seeing whatever you create!
I consider all prompts as optional, but I added some ideas below in case you might find them helpful. Some are longer than others, but all are things I would love to receive! If none of my prompts work for you or you’d rather just work with a likes list, please feel free to use my general likes as something you can base your fic/art on, and ignore my prompts entirely.
In fact, feel free to be creative and create what you want as long as it doesn’t cross my DNW. I love everything from G-rated gen fic to E-rated smut-bangs, so feel free to go where the spirit moves you. If you are wondering if you can twist prompts/take them in different directions/etc. the answer is always an enthusiastic yes. Whether it be something sad, scary, fun, or just plain weird, as long as it avoids my DNW I am always down to play.
As far as hurt/comfort, I am pretty chill on how much of the story is hurt or comfort. I prefer both to be present, but the hurt can be one paragraph at the start of a long and detailed cuddle-bang, or the comfort can be one hug at the end of a torture session, and I'd also be into that. I tend to prefer emotional hurt, or conflicted feelings, or just some sort of extra emotional knife stabbed in with the physical one, and I like playing with the mix between physical and emotional pain. But honestly hurt/comfort is one of my favorite genres, so I am good with pretty much everything!

Hades & Persephone are my favorites in this musical and I'm in love with their relationship. I love how complicated their relationship is: They clearly love one another, but Hades resents her for leaving for six months out of every 12 and she resents just how controlling he can become. They're so prickly but they're also so in love, and they're still trying to make it work, even if they're not always on the same page. I'd love to see ways they try to fall back in love, as well as any speed bumps on the way, just as long as they still remain committed to one another.
Hades/Persephone (Hurt Hades) (Hadestown)
I asked for Hurt Hades in this because Hades is someone who winds up winning any way the deck is stacked in Hadestown; I'd like to see what happens when some of his raging insecurities make him lose. His insecurities with Persephone make him vulnerable to a lot of emotional distress he's clearly uncomfortable with, and I'd love to see some examination of that. I'd also love to see some comfort between them; Hades is so stern a man yet he seems so clearly loves his wife that I can see him trying to move past his traditional insecurities to try to make his relationship with her better....and I can see that backfiring just as easily.
Abandonment Issues: Hades Act 1 plot is basically Abandonment Issues: the Musical; he loves his wife madly, passionately, and yet: he doesn’t (can't?) stay with her when she is up top. What gave him this huge abandonment complex – is he uncomfortable with her in her element? Does he hate that he has to give up control below? Did she tell him not to come? Does he have bad family memories? Is he just plain afraid she’ll never come back to him?
Character is haunted: In the London rewrites, Hades has a verse about how his brothers have betrayed him (“Young Man, I was young once too/Sang a song of love like you/Brotherhood, togetherness/Let me tell you how it is/Lover’s leave, brother’s betray/Turn like weather on a windy day/Pledge allegiance then defect/The Second that you turn your back”) that makes me wonder: what happened between Hades and his brothers that has haunted him so? Alternatively, what happened in this Hades’ past that he is so haunted by? Is Hades actually haunted by ghosts of the workers who he has killed in the past?
Character is trying to be stoic after they are hurt but finally breaks down crying in another's arms: He’s such a big strong man, and I have simple needs in that I would love to see him cry. Do he and Persephone have a talk about their relationship that leads him to tears? Does she comfort him or tease him about it?
Character overhears friends/loved ones talking negatively about them: I would love to see Hades no-doubt painful but stoic reaction to seeing Hermes and Persephone dunk on him. Would he be upset about it? Sad? Worried about the fact he might not feel either? Would he decide to make her regret it, and if so – how?
Comfort Sex - Love Is Requited But None Of The Participants Realize It: Hades and Persephone spend the vast majority of this musical arguing past one another and not seeming to realize that they are, in fact, still in love until the very end. I would love some comfort sex set before the music or during the early part of Act 1 for it, where these two are absolutely nuts for one another, but neither of them quite realize it.
Deposed After a Coup/Revolution: Hadestown seems damn close to coming down at Hades’ feet, despite how much he feels like he’s a powerful God. What would have happened if he had lost, and the workers had rioted until they were truly free? What would happen to him? Would he go with Persephone? Find another underworld to start again? Retire to some place? Fade away?
Distress due to an imminent separation from the other character: During the musical, we see a bit of their separation in the early numbers, where Hades gets quiet and sulky, and Persephone presses a kiss to his cheek. How distressed does Hades get? Is she able to help reassure him at all? Does his distress happen every year? Is there any way she can make it better, or does it just become a quiet resentment they both hold against one another?
Drunken Confessions: Both of them seem to be quite used to imbibing and I can see Hades needing to get truly good and hammered before saying anything that might leave him vulnerable; and Persephone, honestly, same. I would love to see an in vino, veritas moment between them.
Fear of partner moving on He seems so frightened Persephone will find someone else; even though he threatens her that he will do so if she rejects him, he seems even more afraid that she will find someone else instead: constantly coming early, demanding her time – he seems to have a lot of doubt. How does Persephone find this? When she asks him to wait for her, does he? And if so, is he consumed with fear the whole time?
Guilt over Age Gap Relationship: It’s apparent with the current actors that Hades and Persephone, despite being both ancient, are a couple with a sizable age gap: he’s a lot older than she is. Does he worry, especially before the musical, that he won’t be able to “keep up” with her? Does she ever tease him about his age? How do the rest of their immortal cohorts take it?
Hurt Character is Exhausted from Overwork: Hades doesn’t let his workers rest, but honestly, I don’t think he really rests when Persephone isn’t around, either. He seems to always be in his office working or observing the world below/above him; I would love to see what might happen if he over does it (for even gods, surely, must sleep sometime) and winds up sleeping in his office. Does Persephone find him? Does she find this endearing or troubling?
Immortal character tortured to the brink of death: For Hades – I’m not sure how he gets in this situation, but I can’t see him breaking easily. He comes off as nigh-invulnerable to almost everything, so I can’t imagine how hard it would hurt him to be reduced to that level. Somehow, though, I think it would hurt him worse to have Persephone see him like that – so, obviously, I want her to see him like that.
Insecurity: Again, I see this as pretty much his primary character trait. He is so worried about someone taking over his kingdom or stealing his wife that he is driving everyone away from him. Does he ever realize this is happening? Does he take any steps to improve?
Isolation: Six months spent alone means Hades spends almost half the year in his own underworld. How does he deal with that? Does he ever try to contact Persephone? Does he think of her? Does her ghost linger?
Nobody hurts that character except me!: Persephone, and Persephone alone, is allowed to slag on her man. When someone else attempts to insult Hades, they quickly find that the Queen of the Underworld has claws – and Hades is oddly charmed by this loyalty on her part.
Realizing Your Universe is the Dystopia: Hades realizes that no one likes the underworld because it’s this grimy, industrial hell-pit, including his wife. So he decides to remake his realm – but in what image? Does he succeed? Does he fail? What does Persephone think?
Taken Off Guard By Small Displays Of Affection: Hades is such a big, stern guy, but he clearly loves his wife. I’d love to see her give him a little bit of sugar, and him being absolutely taken by it, to the point it might start to harm his reputation for being the big, bad-ass boss of the underworld.
Temporary Loss of Divinity: For whatever reason, Hades loses his powers and his immortality temporarily – how does this change his relationship with his wife? Does he say FUCK IT if I’m gonna die, I’m gonna die after staying with you? Does he not want her to know and keep his distance? If she finds out, how does she react to this?
Undressing: I would love to see Persephone help undress him at some point, whether as a gesture of intimacy, or because he is quite drunk/sleeping/incapacitated. How does he react to finding her doing this? Does he lean into it? Does he mind her seeing him naked, or are they more of a lights-off kind of couple?
Usually Powerful Character is Helpless Due to Drugs: Hades somehow eats something that renders him helpless and needing his wife to assist him. Does he resent her for this? Or is he simply glad she’s there? How does she feel about it?
[Return to Top of Letter]

As far as myths go, I'm super into the way the stories can be changed and modified and told an retold for generations. Want to write/draw a classical version of these characters? Awesome. Want to write/draw a version with modern sensibilities? I am here for it. Since these characters had wildly different versions of their physical attributes depending on who tells the story, I'm really not bothered if you want to change any of them from the "classical" version: I welcome all interpretations, including changing gender/looks/trans/etc. is all well and good!
Demeter & Persephone & Hades (Hurt Persephone) :
I feel bad for poor Persephone, who winds up in this unending custody arrangement between her mother and her uncle/husband. I feel like she has to always be pulled between the world of the dead and the world of the living, and she isn't really allowed the freedoms that most people get as adults; she is constantly either with Hades or with her mother, with very little Persephone time between. I know there are a lot of different ways to interpret Hades' and Persephone's relationship, and I'm fine with all of them, but I'd like to think that they have at least adjusted to being married. (Or, if set pre-marriage, that is also fine! I'd love to see adult! Hades with kid! Persephone, too.)
I feel like the three of them all desire different things from the status quo; Demeter wants Persephone to live in the world with her and grow things, Hades wants her to rule over the dead, and Persephone wants - well, what does Persephone want? I would love to see what might happen when Hades and Demeter are forced to work together by a difficult situation with Persephone - if she gets injured emotionally or physically, how do they come together — or do they? Do they have the same priority, ie her? Or are they still pulling her in radically different directions, even when she is vulnerable and needs them to care for her?
Bathing/Washing: I would love to see Hades and Demeter coming to an agreement to care for Persephone if she is somehow injured; whether Hades comes up to Demeter’s world or Demeter goes down to his (or they are all on Olympus which is “neutral” if perhaps not necessarily friendly territory) doesn’t matter to me – how do Demeter and Hades react to taking care of Persephone’s basic needs, like washing her? Is either moved by the devotion the other shows, or are they repelled? If Persephone is conscious, is she embarrassed to see her husband and mother both fawn over her like this, or is she just happy they’re there for her?
Bedside Vigils: Persephone is hurt, and Hades and Demeter refuse to leave her side, even during the night. Do they stubbornly stare at one another from across the bed, each foreswearing sleep so they can stubbornly hate glare at one another over their injured love one? Or do they actually cooperate, each taking shifts so that the other can try to rest? Do they find one another of a mind when it comes to their daughter/wife? Or is a tense event made worse by them being at one another’s throat?
Breaking Down Upon Finding an Imperiled Loved One is Safe: When something bad happens to Persephone, I’d love to see these two absolutely lose their shit when they find her. Especially if what happens is Hermes is perhaps just a bit late taking her between realms because they stopped for ice cream or Rhea kept her a little long for a chat, yet Demeter and Hades are Clearly Ready to go to War over it because they’re, well, a bit uh, tense.
Character Lays Waste To Enemies Who Barely Scratch Their Loved One(s) In A Fight Persephone gets a scratch during a play fight with another god. Hades or Demeter finishes it for them, with the other one helping from behind the scenes. Who does what? Is Persephone worried about the absolutely annihilation that’s going on, or just comforted by her family loving her so?
Character’s family or culture not accepting of romantic partner: Demeter doesn’t approve of Hades’ wife, and Hades doesn’t approve of Persephone’s choice of mother. How do they navigate that divide? Does Persephone find their sniping tiring? Or is there something comforting in knowing two sides of her immortal family are so crazy about her?
Characters Who Hate Each Other Feign Camaraderie For The Sake Of Loved One: Hades and Demeter have never understood one another; their elements are diametrically opposed and their temperaments are too. But they both love Persephone, and by the gods above, they will endure one another's company during the days they swap Persephone in this demented custody order neither of them likes. Unfortunately, neither of them is very good at masking their emotions and Persephone dreads those handoffs more than anything. How does she cope with it? Does she ever try to talk to either of them about this hand off and how they could make it better for her?
Child Loss: I’d love to see something from Demeter’s perspective about Persephone leaving her to go to her husband; does Persephone change to the point she feels her daughter is dead to her? Or does her daughter perhaps not want to go? Or alternatively, I would absolutely love to see all three of them dealing with a loss of one of Hades/Persephone’s hypothetical children…How do they pick up the pieces? Do any of them blame themselves?
Coaxing someone reluctant to take medicine: Persephone loses her memories – how far back does it go? Is she scared by Hades? Demeter? Can the other gods help calm her and coax her into taking medicine that will restore her memories? Do Hades and Demeter both believe they should?
Childbirth: I’d love to see Hades, god of the dead, somehow winding up being the one god who happens to be around and able to help Demeter when she goes into labor. How do either of them handle this, especially if there’s something about Persephone’s birth that puts the baby in danger? Does Hades have any foresight that the infant he’s holding will one day be his wife? (And how freaking weird would that be?!) Alternatively, Persephone’s husband and mother try to help her as she gives birth. What is it like when a god gives birth to another god's child? Are either of them a comfort to her or are they a hindrance?
Finding Common Ground in Arranged Marriage: Hades tricks Persephone into staying into this arranged marriage with the old seed trick; when its revealed with Zeus, how does Persephone react? Is she furious? Sad? Secretly relieved? What does Demeter think of this? Does Hades explain himself or does he simply wait six months to see her? Can they ever repair the crack that this deception causes?
Forbidden From Seeing One Another: Hades and Persephone both feel a pull toward one another; Demeter notices, and takes steps to keep them apart. Only problem is: seeing her daughter pine so much is hard to deal with. Does Persephone come to see Hades as her mother does, an old man focusing on a woman far too young for him? Does Hades think he is too old for her, and try to keep his distance, or does he make good use of his invisibility helmet to have some…quality time, with her? Does Persephone try to heed her mother’s instructions, or is she pulled toward Hades with a tug she doesn't quite understand?
Guilt over Age Gap Relationship: Persephone realizes, bittersweetly, that no one sees Hades as she does, and the gossip on Olympus is that she has daddy issues and basically is sleeping with the next best thing to her own dad? Is there any truth to it? After taking offense to this, how does she decide to prove to those gossips just why they are in love? Does Hades realize people see him as uncle bad touch? If so, does he help her with this revenge or is he surprised by it? Does Demeter find her being married to such an older god an awkward thing for her daughter? Does she regret Persephone not having a younger bridegroom?
Immortal character tortured to the brink of death: Persephone is kidnapped by an enemy and tortured go the brink of death; Hades and/or her momma rescue her, but neither is prepared for how badly she is hurt. Can they put aside their desired for vengeance to help their daughter/wife? Does Persephone want them to help her, or does she want justice?
Insecurity: Persephone worries about her place in both the underworld and the world above as she spends so much time absent from either realm and worries Hades and Demeter may find…replacements. Do Hades and Demeter realize her guilt? Is there any way for them to comfort her?
Long-Standing Enemies A and B try to make peace for C:Hades and Demeter have never understood one another; their elements are diametrically opposed and their temperaments are too. But they both love Persephone, and by the gods above, they will endure one another's company during the days they swap Persephone in this demented custody order neither of them likes. They still don’t like one another, but as time goes on, their attitudes soften a bit toward one another. They might not he friends yet…but when Persephone gets hurt in some way, they realize they're closer to one another than they are to other gods in the pantheon, as their largest priority is the same.
Losing Control Over Powers Hurts Others/Loved Ones: Persephone is either hurt by her mother because her mother’s life-touch is painful to her now that she has power over death she’s gained from Hades, or Hades inadvertently hurts her by touching her with the power of death when she has the power of life she has through her mother – or both. Can she control this power? How do they deal with it? Can Persephone be with either of them without being in some measure of pain?
Nightmares: Persephone has nightmares; her mother and Hades have very different ways of comforting her about them. Which does she prefer? Does she have more nightmares in the underworld or above ground? Are the nightmares different at all between the two?
Pregnancy – Dangerous/ Pregnancy – Difficult: I’m putting these two together since I think they’re quite similar, but feel free to only do one or the other. Persephone gets pregnant, and her husband and her mother are both alarmed by how it goes. What makes this pregnancy more difficult than most? Is there any way they can assist her?
Pregnancy - holding someone while they miscarry: Persephone gets pregnant, then miscarries. It punches everyone in the gut, but especially Persephone. How do her mother and husband comfort her? How upset is everyone? How do they try to help calm Persephone after losing a child? I imagine it must be an even more foreign feeling among gods, who after all live forever – does that change anything about they deal with such events?
Pregnancy - Third Party Disapproves: Someone who is not Demeter thinks its super weird that Persephone is pregnant; someone who is Demeter basically lays in on them defending her little grandbaby, and for the first time in many centuries, a long-festering discord between Hades and Demeter gets healed. Persephone, on the other hand, is a little more torn about the situation as she worries about the gossip is true– do they realize her worries? Can they comfort her?
Temporary Loss of Divinity: Persephone somehow loses her powers as a god and becomes mortal; how do Hades and Demeter deal with it? Are either of them better able to relate to her as a mortal? Do either of them not want her to change back, or all they both all too eager to find her a cure?
Usually Powerful Character is Helpless Due to Drugs: Persephone is drugged by someone or by accident and Hades and Demeter babysit her as the drug wears off. How does she react to them taking care of her every need? Is she conscious? Do Hades and Demeter have a bristly time of nearly fighting one another, or are they both too dedicated to Persephone to quite snip at one another in such a serious time?
waiting to see if someone both characters love recovers from serious illness/injury / Watching Someone Sleep: I’m combining these two because I want similar things from them, though feel free to do one or the other; Hades and Demeter both watch Persephone as she sleeps, either because she is recovering from a serious injury or because they are worried about her for another reason. How do each take the other’s presence? Do they want the other to go away? Or do they stick together, a kind of strange family all their own?
Hades/Persephone (Hurt Persephone)// Hades/Persephone (Hurt Hades)
Hades and Persephone have one of my favorite myths, and one thing I really love about it is how much emotional suffering you can put these characters through. The situation is inherently painful; Hades is an almost desperately lonely (and cold) character who doesn't really understand how to court a woman, and abducts her from everything she's ever known to lead her to his eerie home (and I love when the underworld is a source of horror!). Persephone is a young girl who is suddenly uprooted for everything she ever knew, and is basically told by her absentee father (or her new husband-to-be!) that she's marrying a man much, much older than her, that she probably knows not well or not at all. I know there are a wide variety of potential options as far as how in love they are, and I'm fine with pretty much all of them though I'd prefer Hades not to be a cackling, evil rapist (being wrong, however, or flawed, is perfectly fine).
I'd really love to see either of them hurt and comfort the other as they deal with the situation; it's surely difficult for them both, if in radically different ways. How does Hades deal with this woman being a less-than-docile wife and deeply unhappy with her new abode, despite him being what he sees as suitable as a match for her? How does Persephone deal with her strange uncle's sudden insistence that her dad gave her to him as a wife? Is she willing to be wooed at all? Or does she just want to go home? How conflicted does she or he feel about this?
Bridal/Princess Style Carrying: I mean, what’s the point of abducting a girl if you aren’t straight up bridal carrying her through the underworld? I’d love to see what’s going through her mind if he does that. Persephone is of course the Iron Queen so she, too, I imagine is quite formidable – does she ever give him a princess style carry? Does he find this charming or is he offended?
Captive is Comforted by her Captor / Captive is Wooed by Captor: Hades abducts Persephone from all that she has ever known, but that doesn’t mean he enjoys it when he sees her being miserable in the underworld. He tries to take steps to make her feel better, but can he really fix it for her? Does he feel guilty for holding her captive? How does she feel about this? Does she find his attempts to woo her bizarre, or is there something in her heart that pities him, perhaps, just a bit?
Character Being Comforted Doesn't Believe They Deserve Comfort: Hades feels guilty for bringing her to the underworld, but Persephone is nice to him and it throws him. Or, Persephone makes a hard call regarding something (the decision with the seeds? A soul in Tartarus?) and Hades is surprisingly comforting about her feeling like she is in no place to judge.
Character in Fake Relationship thinks Partner Hates Them: Hades agrees to marry Persephone to get Zeus off his back about marrying someone (Persephone is in on this to strike out her own, and figures having a fabulously wealthy patron probably will help her mom not protest too much). But then, of course, there come the complications: Persephone hates the underworld, or Hades isn’t used to actually having to have a second person provide input in his realm and is snappish about it, and there there are feelings complicating what should be a relatively simple arrangement. How do they resolve that? Does it become dating for real? Do they ever confront the other character? Or do they just pine on their own?
Character interacts with people after long period in solitary confinement - Hades isn’t someone who …talks to people, much. Or at least other gods. He’s been on his own for a long time, and that means he really doesn’t get…socializing. Or small talk. Or what topics might be appropriate. Does Persephone understand and feel patient with him? Or does she think he’s strange and even more frightened? How does he try to deal with this disadvantage?
Character is Turning into an Eldritch Creature - The longer she stays in the underworld, Persephone finds herself changing into a more eldritch creature, similar to Hades. Is Hades pleased with this transition, or bothered by it? When the agreement about how her time is divided is struck, does he feel guilty that she has to undergo this transformation both ways? Is there any way he can comfort her? How does she feel about it? Is she horrified, excited, somewhere in-between? Or, alternatively, if Hades is becoming an eldritch creature instead for another reason (the concept of death changing?) – how does Persephone feel about that? Does it make her husband harder or easier to love? Does it change anything about their relationship?
Character is used to others being afraid of them: Hades is absolutely terrifying as a general concept, even among his own kind (for what is scarier to the immortals than death?), and Persephone’s name can be said to be traced to destroying light (and was not used by people wanting to worship her more benign aspects) so clearly they're both coming into this as somewhat intimidating figures (Hades) or becoming ones (in Persephone’s case). Which means that they both have to be used to being alienated from the other gods and goddess – how do they deal with that? Can they find intimacy in one another, or does it interfere with their relationship as much as it does with others?
Character's abusive childhood is revealed - I’d love to see anything dealing with the scars (physical or emotional) Hades (or, if you want it from Persephone’s perspective and not focused on her husband, Demeter!) has. How did this affect him? How did growing up with a mother who survived the same hell affect Persephone? Does knowing signs of it from Demeter make Hades more understandable to Persephone?
Character’s family or culture not accepting of romantic partner: Hades is looked upon with disdain for Demeter’s uh…near killing the earth and his almost killing off everything, and just being a general uncle badtouch for marrying a girl a lot younger than he is. Persephone’s scary because, well, she agreed to that. How do they navigate their family’s snideness? Or human fear of them, which surely must be new to Persephone?
Child Loss: I would love to see something exploring the sterility of Hades and Persephone’s marriage; they’re the only marriage that in (most texts) don’t wind up having children, and despite that they are mostly monogamous, so clearly they’ve dealt with their lack of fertility at some point. While the popular version of this is that they’re (one or both) sterile, I’d like to see a sadder variant, where they lose a child, either through a miscarriage, the godly equivalent of SIDs, or just a tragic circumstance of fate. How do they move past it? Being gods of the dead, can they still see their child in the underworld, or is that in many ways worse?
Comfort Sex - Love Is Requited But None Of The Participants Realize It: Hades has been in love with Persephone since Aphrodite/Eros sicced an arrow on him, whether he wants to be or not; Persephone never quite responded at first when he kidnapped her, but since they’ve been trapped in a marriage together, they’ve grown …closer. Close enough to have sex just for the sheer comfort of it – they are married after all, and It isn’t as if they have many other opportunities; the problem, of course, is that it is a bit more requited than either thinks, and figuring out how to tell the other person is a real problem. How do they do it?
Couple in arranged marriage both believe the other only feels obligation - mutual pining - Hades had to get married for ~~politics~~, Persephone is the bride chosen by Zeus for him. Hades is respectful of the vows, but it’s very clear it’s more of an obligation for him rather than a passionate love affair. Persephone isn’t really pleased by the underworld, and while she fulfills her duties, Hades can tell she isn’t exactly thrilled to be down here half the time. The problem, of course, is that for both of them, they’ve grown fond of the other person, and in time become absolutely-frickin’ moony over them, yet totally unable to tell the other how they feel. How do they resolve this? Do they come up with convoluted ways to be together, despite being married? Do they actually talk to one another? Does one just straight up snog the other and live to tell about it?
Distress due to an imminent separation from the other character: Hades has to go through a six-month separation from his wife every single year. How does he react to that? Does Persephone get distressed about leaving him in the ground while she’s off bringing springtime?
Distressed by Premature Ejaculation: Hades hasn’t uh…well, he doesn’t get a lot of action, and I can see him hyping up his first time with Persephone (or any time after they’re separated for a while) and…winding up getting a bit too overexcited and comes way too early. Are he or Persephone worried about it? Do they kind of laugh it off? Do gods have to deal with refractory periods?
Eldritch Creature Falls in Love with Human But Can't Express Its Love in a Way Humans Understand: Hades is changed in form when he becomes God of the Underworld and doesn’t quite relate to his siblings on the same level anymore. However, he still feels godly emotions, and one of them is love: he falls in love with Persephone and attempts to communicate with her…as the eldritch horror he is. Is she frightened? Confused? Into it? Willing to go along with what he wishes, or fighting tooth and nail?
Fake Dating while Pining: Persephone is tired of being hit on by other gods in the pantheon. Hades is tired of everyone telling him to get married and both decide after years of being hassled by other gods to JUST FIND SOMEONE ALREADY that they will fake date one another and basically act as beards during all the required Olympian events. Unfortunately, Zeus throws a lot of parties, and while working on the fake relationship, one or both of them realizes they’d rather have a real relationship instead. How do they manage this? Does one confess to the other? Does the other want a relationship too, or are they unwelcoming of advances?
Finding Common Ground in Arranged Marriage - I would love ANYTHING set after Hades tricks Persephone into eating the seeds. Assuming it was an actual trick and that she did not know eating them would bind herself to him and the arranged marriage her father made for her, how does she feel upon seeing him again? How does he react to seeing her?
Forbidden From Seeing One Another: I’m curious about how their relationship works when Demeter is the one who has “custody” of her daughter, not Hades. Is Hades allowed to see her at all? Can they be together? Does Hades peep in on her with his invisibility helmet? Do they get to be together? Or is it six months or extreme loneliness for them both?
Guilt over Age Gap Relationship: Persephone realizes, bittersweetly, that no one sees Hades as she does, and the gossip on Olympus is that she has daddy issues and basically is sleeping with the next best thing to her own dad? Is there any truth to it? After taking offense to this, how does she decide to prove to those gossips just why they are in love? Does Hades realize people see him as uncle bad touch? If so, does he help her with this revenge or is he surprised by it?
Hurt Character is Exhausted from Overwork: I’m sure there are times in the underworld where Hades and Persephone are literally overrun by incoming arrivals thanks to natural disasters, questionable dietary/hygiene habits of the old world, large scale wars, etc. How do they deal with it? Do either of them literally get exhausted by having to deal with so many arrivals? How does the other help them out – or do they just have to watch them suffer?\
Flower Maiden AU - Character trying to hide that they're going into bloom: Persephone is going into bloom while being held captive in the underworld, but desperately doesn’t want her captor to notice. Only problem is, flowers ain’t exactly native to the underground, and Persephone is forced to come up with more and more elaborate schemes to explain the sudden flowerpetals EVERYWHERE. Does Hades ever figure it out? How does he handle it? Alternatively: Hades picks up some of her powers for…reasons? And suddenly finds out that he is, in fact, a lot less scary when he has flowers coming out of him in literally every direction, which is very awkward when you’re the god of death. How does he deal with this?
Immortal character tortured to the brink of death: I’m a huge sucker for an almost anyone being tortured to the brink of death and I’d especially love it when it’s a immortal character who is not used to confronting their own mortality. Why is the person getting tortured? How do they confront it? Does Hades or Persephone zee their lover in such a situation? If so, how do they react?
Insecurity: I figure both of them have to have times of insecurity, especially during the six months of the year that they are apart. Is it hard to keep trust that the other will remain true to them/not lose interest/etc? Are they ever tempted to/actually do spy on one another, or gossip, or “test” them? What happens?
Language Barrier: Hades falls in love with Persephone from afar and abducts her, only to realize that the world has moved on since he was on the surface, and that he speaks titan, while she speaks whatever language it is the Gods speak now. How do they manage to work past being unable to communicate? Do the two languages share any words?
Learning to be Loved: It strikes me that for a godly marriage, their long life spans would mean that they tend to get jaded and close their hearts off to love after a few bad experiences. So perhaps that’s happened to one of the two here: perhaps there’s a reason Demeter is so overprotective of her daughter, and perhaps there’s a reason that Hades doesn’t have a lot of lovers – how do they open up to one another after all that time?
Lima Syndrome: Hades tells himself he is taking the girl as a wife for politics, nothing else. She doesn’t want to be here, and honestly, he doesn’t want her to be there, either, at first. But after spending time with her, he winds up falling in love with his captive, without entirely meaning to. How does he realize this? Does he act on it? Does he realize this isn’t exactly healthy?
Losing Control Over Powers Hurts Others/Loved Ones: Power over life and death isn’t to be tarried with, and I can see both causing serious harm if one character loses control. Who loses control, and what happens? Do they feel regret? Is the other person seriously hurt? Can they heal themselves or do they have to rely on the harmer?
Nightmares: The underworld is a strange place and I’d love to see what it might do with nightmares. Do Hades or Persephone ever wind up having nightmares – and are they ones they’re asleep for, or waking nightmares that haunt them in Tartarus as much as its actual occupants? How do they snap out of it? Does the other person realize they’ve fallen into a nightmare? Can they help them out of it?
One Person In Arranged Marriage Is In Love But Doesn't Know It's Reciprocated: Hades or Persephone is struggling with the arranged marriage that Zeus has made for them; Hades isn’t used to having someone there and doesn’t know how to make her love him. Persephone is scared and doesn’t know how to adjust to having this surly man as her husband, dictated by her rarely seen father no less. One or the other realizes after a short struggle that the reason they’re so uncomfortable in the presence of the other person is that they uh, actually really like them. How do they get past that? Does the one who falls in love with the other confess? Is their love returned, or is the other only obligated by duty?
Past abuse revealed — I’d love to see Hades have scars from the titanomarchy and being insecure about them and not wanting Persephone to see him without his clothes on because of it — or just mental issues with various parts of his life because of his abusive father/traumatic home life as a child/teen/early adult. I’d also love the other side, where Persephone has scars she’s nervous about from something or other she’s hesitant for Hades to know — or mental scars from the same. How do they deal with it?
Pregnancy – Dangerous/ Pregnancy – Difficult: I’m putting these two together since I think they’re quite similar, but feel free to only do one or the other. Persephone gets pregnant, and her husband is alarmed by how it goes. What makes this pregnancy more difficult than most? Is there any way Hades can assist her? Is the pregnancy sustainable? Do they both even want the child?
Pregnancy - holding someone while they miscarry: Persephone gets pregnant, than miscarries. It punches both of them in the gut, but especially Persephone. How does her husband comfort her? How upset is he, or she? How does he try to help calm Persephone after losing a child? I imagine it must be an even more foreign feeling among gods, who after all live forever – does that change anything about they deal with such events?
Pregnancy - Third Party Disapproves: Someone who is not Hades thinks its super weird that Persephone is pregnant and highlights fears Persephone already has; someone who is Hades basically lays in on them defending his wife’s honor. Does he realize his wife is upset? Does she like him defending her or does she worry he’s ignoring potential real issues? How do they make the other feel better?
Refuse to Leave Other Character's Side: Hades and Persephone decide after many years of being separated that they’re not going to allow themselves to be separated every year anymore. What happens? Does Hades follow her above ground? Does she stay down? How do Demeter and Zeus take it? Does either feel guilty for being selfish? OR are they just thrilled to actually experience summer together?
Romantic Feelings Reveal: Both parts of the couple are kind of not great at expressing their opinions for one another; Hades literally kidnapped her to marry her (uh…bold move, cotton), and Persephone’s minor details differing in her account from the narrator’s in the hymn to Demeter has had people wondering for literally thousands of years whether or not she meant to consent to Hades’ marriage or not. So: how on earth did they confess feelings for one another? How did they finally come to love one another?
Shame of forbidden desire: Hades and Persephone are basically having sexual thoughts about their uncle/niece; while the gods don’t exactly shy away from incest, I can see both going oh no because of the potential family complications in this: Persephone’s mother seems hell bent on keeping her daughter with her, so Hades is wading into a storm there, and the other gods seem to fear Hades, so Persephone probably hasn’t heard anything good about him, and yet… one look across the room and both of them are having thoughts that are hotter than Tartarus. Do they lust secretly? Does anyone figure out that both of them are craving to bend the other over a table? Do they sneak away together and wind up having sex and if so how do either of them feel about it?
Stockholm Syndrome Persephone tells herself she will not do anything to encourage her captor and will fight her imprisonment, even if she is complimented by what he offers. She doesn’t want to be here, even if he’s nice. But after spending time with him, she winds up falling in love with her captor, without entirely meaning to. How does she realize this? Does she act on it? Does she realize this isn’t exactly healthy? Is he into it or worried this is a sign she is not doing well?
Taken Off Guard By Small Displays Of Affection: Persephone never had a father figure in her life, and she’s taken off guard when Hades offers her little displays of affection. Does she misinterpret his affection as fatherly interest and if so how does she react when she finds out his interest is far more carnal than she thought? Or, alternatively, Hades is startled that his young bride is considerably more physical than he is. How does he deal with it? Does he like it?
Temporary Loss of Divinity: Hades or Persephone becomes mortal for a period for ~~reasons~~. How does the other deal with it, especially when they realize being mortal means that they’ve got a finite lifespan? Does it drive them apart or put them together? How do they regain their divinity?
Undressing: I would love to see Hades and Persephone being super into the intimacy that comes from undressing one another. What does this ritual do for the one being undressed, or the one who is undressing? Are they eager? Nervous? Shy? Bold?
Demeter & Hades (Hurt Hades) // Demeter & Hades (Hurt Demeter)
I feel like whatever Demeter and Hades relationship was before the daughter-snatching, it was irreparably changed by it. How do Demeter and Hades get along before things go down with Persephone? Were they ever close during the Titanomachy, or are they always inherently different, inherently and diametrically opposed from one another with their control over death vs life?
And when Hades took her daughter, how did that change their relationship? Did Demeter feel betrayed — or was Hades aware that he was betraying her? Did he care? And, of course, without Persephone, or post-her marriage, how do they feel about one another? Do they ever band together? Are they eternally opposed? Do they have the same priorities, ie Persephone? Or are they still pulling her in radically different directions? Are they eternally just trying to avoid one another? What sort of emotions might bubble up when they finally see one another again?
Bedside Vigils: Demeter or Hades is hurt, and the other comes to help them when Persephone isn’t available for whatever reason. Are they surprised this god, in particular, would come to help them? Do they badger one another? Are they secretly relieved it’s the other, and not someone really embarrassing, like Zeus?
Character believes no one is coming to save them: Neither Demeter or Hades are popular with the Gods above, and when they get in trouble, they write off their life as forfeit. However, help arrives – if in an unexpected person. Who rescues her? How did they find her? Do they rescue her from the goodness of their heart (or knowing it will piss their wife/daughter off if they don’t!), or are they doing so because of a different reason?
Character's abusive childhood is revealed: Demeter and Hades swap stories about their dad; maybe Demeter thinks Hades got off easy being eaten as a baby, but doesn’t know he still gets hurt by his father (mentally?) whenever he has to go into Tartarus. Or perhaps Hades thinks Demeter had an easier time of things in the war compared of his lot, but finds out that isn’t the case; after all, she was a little older by the time he came along…. Does this give them more sympathy for the other? Do they feel closer at the end of this?
Characters Who Hate Each Other Feign Camaraderie For The Sake Of Loved One: Demeter and Hades have always hated one another, from the womb to the erm, tomb? But they both love Persephone, who somehow loves both of them, so they’re trapped by the awkwardness of social convention trying to be nice to one another while low-key ignoring the disses that come up in their heads. How often do they have to do this? Do either of them make a genuine effort to repair their relationship for their daughter? Does Persephone see there’s something a bit…off… in their smiles with one another?
Immortal character tortured to the brink of death: Hades or Demeter is almost killed by the Titans during the war, and the other finds and helps rescue them. Both are somewhat uncomfortable by this brush with mortality, but for different reasons. Why?
Imprisoned for years: Anything and everything where these two actually deal with or talk about their time being imprisoned (inside or by) their father. How do they feel about it? How do they feel with it? Do any aftereffects linger?
Injury on Top of Old Injuries: Hades or Demeter gets an injury that doesn’t look serious, but who ever isn’t injured knows it’s a more serious injury than others do because they were there when a deeper injury was inflicted on them long ago. Do they insist the stubborn one needs medical attention? Does it bring up bad memories?
Isolation: Hades and Demeter are both quite isolated from other gods, since neither appears to live on Olympus full time (or, in Hades’ case, at all); do they ever get together and gripe about the rest of them? I feel like they both have a lot of reasons to be hurt over the actions of some of the other gods. Do they look forward to these plans? Do they change when Hades kidnaps her daughter, and how so? Does either regret the change?
Nightmares: Hades or Demeter keep seeing the other in their nightmares and begin to worry that perhaps something is wrong with Persephone because why else would they be seeing the other? It’s not like they enjoy thinking about Persephone’s other ball and chain. So one or the other eventually ventures only to find out – what? Is it some sort of message calling them? Have they been worrying for no reason? Or is there something calling them together?
Prickly Relationship Between Comforter and Comfortee: Hades tries to comfort Demeter or Demeter tries to comfort Hades over some issue. However, this….kind of does not go as planned, because it turns out there aren’t many people worse suited to comfort them than one another. Is the person needing comfort actually comforted? Is the person needing comfort offended? How does the comforter decide things went?
Refuse to Leave Other Character's Side: Hades or Demeter refuses to leave the other’s side during the war; do they regret this decision after the inevitable breakdown in their communications when Hades and Persephone get married? Do either of them think about the fact that the other would be dead without the other?
Reluctant Comfortee:/ Reluctant Comforter Neither Hades nor Demeter are particularly good at consoling one another; both tend to take opposite sides of the coin and they aren’t very good at seeing the other’s perspective. But when there’s an event that hurts both of them, Demeter or Hades is surprisingly good at seeing the other’s point of view – who is the one who’s reticent? Are they both? How do they feel about being comforted?
Temporary Loss of Divinity: Hades or Demeter is reduced to becoming human, at a time when the other has Persephone with them. Does the one who believes they are dying try to intrude upon the other’s time, or does the other offer to give up some time because, after all, if they’re mortal, they only have so long left? Or do they try to keep Persephone in the dark as long as possible? What happens when Persephone finds out in that case?
Trying to help makes it worse: Hades or Demeter tries to help the other recover; unfortunately, their powers interfere with one another, and wind up making whoever is being healed massively sick. Does the other person think this is on purpose? Can they find a way to make up for their negligence?
Trying to help stoic character without hurting their pride: Hades or Demeter is badly hurt but insists they are fine. The other tries to heal them to keep them alive…without actually telling them they’re healing them to keep them alive.
Trying to make amends for past mistakes: Hades attempts to apologize to Demeter for erm, kidnapping her daughter and all that. Is Demeter receptive, or does she still harbor hurt over it? Or does Demeter apologize for a different slight, and if so, what? Was Hades kidnapping Persephone partially in response?

Kara/Luther (hurt Luther) // Kara/Luther (hurt Kara)
I absolutely love Kara's story. Her desire for a normal family life and desperate desire to get Alice and Luther to safety just broke my heart. As far as story choices, I tend to prefer a non-violent Kara who has been trying to make her way without hurting anyone else too much but is still forced to make the occasional awful choice (kiling Todd or killing guards during the escape from Jericho); I prefer the ending where she winds up getting caught on the way to the bus terminal and winding up trying to survive in the Android camps with Luther and Alice.
I love how Luther and Kara are almost instantly on the same page; Luther rebels against his own programming just to help her, and her instant trust for him is amazing. I love how they instantly click and there's never an "OH NOES BETRAYAL" moment - they are just two androids trying to make it to a better life with their family. I really would love to see some hurt/comfort with them, especially given how hard the game already goes on them — can androids get PTSD? Obviously, we should find out.
Accepting Injury To Save Another: Kara or Luther accept an injury to their bodies to keep the other safe; whose body is it and what injury? Are they able to stay together with the injury?
Codependent Pair Separated: Kara and Luther canonically get separated for a while – what does through their minds when this happens? Do they think they will ever see the other again?
Doing Bad Things So Others Don't Have To: Kara or Luther kills/steals/etc for the other, in order to prevent the other from having to do so. What, exactly happens? What is the fallout of this? Do either of them lose Alice’s respect? If so, do they comfort one another over that?
Nightmares: Do androids dream? If so, do they have nightmares? If so, what do they have nightmares of – are they unpleasant memories that they are simply replaying, or do they, like humans, have the ability to have nightmares about all kinds of things?
Physically Injured Character Comforting Emotionally Distressed Character: Luther or Kara gets injured, and the other freaks out; I can see that being a big fear of either of theirs, since physical injury basically ruins the tight timeline they spend the vast majority of the game running against.
Robot catches a virus / Robot hacked by third party: Either Luther or Kara is hacked by someone else (the police? Cyberlife?) and the other has to deal with the fallout. What happens?
Romantic Feelings Reveal: I can see these two wanting to confess their attraction to one another but feeling like there’s never a good time, given how much they are going through during the game. Who develops feelings first? Do they ever confess?
Smaller/Weaker Character Tries to Shield Hurt Character With Their Body: Kara tries to shield Luther, perhaps much to Luther’s distress? What happens? What is she shielding him from? Who is more hurt by this?
Markus/North (both hurt) // Connor/Markus (hurt Markus)
I love Markus' being thrust into a position of power, and suffering the consequences of it. I see him as brave to the point of almost-foolhardiness, constantly putting himself in danger. I tend to play him as a character who is non-violent until the attack on Jericho, at which point I see him as choosing the revolutionary option and would prefer anything set during the end game be set during that run, rather than the pacifist one.
I see Connor and North both being similar to Markus, if a bit more realistic; Markus is the dreamer, but they're both the realists who see all the ways that this isn't going to work — but both follow him anyway. I love the idea of them thinking "aw, hell, this won't end well," and still following Markus into hell and getting hurt with him despite the foreknowledge that they may very well die.
Accepting Injury To Save Another: Markus and North and Connor all strike me as practical people, and I can see them choosing to take the route of self-sacrifice over the sacrifice of their beloved. What happens? How does the other react?
Markus/North: Do they have a sort of suicide pact? MAybe not a spoken one, but I can see North deciding if Markus is going to sacrifice himself, she will too. How does Markus feel about that? Can he stop her?
Connor/Markus: Connor isn't hurt, but in some ways, that's worse, watching Markus destroy himself or at least try to die attempting to. We know Markus has persuaded Connor away from the edge, but has Markus ever gotten persuaded by Connor that it isn't smart to keep throwing himself into this like this? Or does Connor just double his efforts so Markus doesn't have to suffer?
Bodysharing: Markus and/or North are injured, and North or Markus decide to download their programs/add parts of their physical programming into their own body. What happens? Do they become the same person?
Markus/North: I would love to see what happens when they have to combine their parts to become one (physical) person: what happens? Is this an easy adjustment for androids? Or does this have some of the same body horror that this experience would have for humans?
Connor/Markus: I would love to see Connor have to host Markus' programming - would it intertwine with his own in some way? Would his identity change in any way? Would Connor be aware of it?
Doing Bad Things So Others Don't Have To:: Again, the self-sacrifice is strong with these two and neither believes revolutions are necessarily bloodless. What do they do? Do they feel guilty about it? Does the other person feel guilty that the other person is fighting for them so they can keep their hands clean(er)?
Markus/North: I feel like North's practicality may create conflict here with Markus' more utopian vision. If they are both hurt, does this mean that he's hurting himself and her by letting her take these missions? Vice versa? Whats going on here?
Connor/Markus: I feel like Connor is someone who absolutely knows the dark side of the world, probably at a more nitty-gritty level than Markus, who had it easy as an android for most of his life. How would he deal with Markus taking on bad deeds for the revolution? Would he feel conflicted and want to stop him? Or would he turn a blind eye, give the police other targets or make cases unsolvable?
Forced to watch the other trying to rescue them: Markus and/or Connor or North are captured and experimented on to try to find out more information about the Jericho movement. The other tries to rescue them – does it succeed? How is it to watch them while they are helpless? What happens?
Markus/North: I would love to see more detail on how this happens - if they're both hurt, does that mean they're both captured and Markus or North breaks out and gets the other out? Do they agree on the way out? Is either damaged badly?
Connor/Markus: I feel like Connor is like the terminator android, and I'd love to see him examining if he's trying to find Markus because its his case, or if its because he has ~~feelings~~ for Markus.
Forced to watch the other undertaking a dangerous task: Markus and/or Connor or North are trying to break into some place/steal something to further the revolution. For Reasons, there are points where only one can go at a time to avoid raising suspicion – what is it like for the one left behind?
Markus/North: If they both get hurt, how does it happen? Does Markus go in, and North after him, or vice versa? What goes wrong?
Connor/Markus: IS Connor comfortable being the one watching things happen? Or is this a form for torture all its own for him, even before the other shoe drops? Or does it drop it all? Do they get away with their successful task, or is it a hellish fight out?
Hiding injuries from onlookers but comforter knows: Markus and/or North are injured, and try to hide it; Connor and/or Markus aren’t fooled. Are they angry that the other person is injured and trying to hide it? Are they just relieved that they’ve come back?
Markus/North: Markus and North being exhausted and broken but needing to be strong -- both for one another and for the revolution, and the conflicts in that, because how do you deal with the hurt, or comforting, when you know it's worse, and the person is lying? And what if you're lying too?
Connor/Markus: Connor tries to comfort Markus in the church, but after all he's done he can't help but feel it rings hollow.
Hiding injuries to take care of others first/ More Seriously Injured Character Insists Other Character's Injuries Be Treated First:: Markus (or North) insist on others being treated before themselves, and Connor or Markus/North cannot believe that they’re half-dead and still pushing themselves forward. How do they get them to sit down for a moment?
Mistakenly Believes the Other is Dead/ Mistakenly Believes They Caused the Other's Death: Markus or North go missing during a mission and it is believed that there are no survivors; how do Connor or Markus/North deal with heir loss? Do they try to lead the rebellion as best they can? Do they believe by agreeing that the other should go, they have caused their death?
Nightmares: Do androids dream? If so, do they have nightmares? If so, what do they have nightmares of – are they unpleasant memories that they are simply replaying, or do they, like humans, have the ability to have nightmares about all kinds of things?
Refuse to Leave Other Character's Side: Markus/Connor/North refuse to leave the other’s side when they are hurt; what are the side-effects of this? Is the person who is hurt furious about this? If the other gets hurt by not leaving, what happens to them?
Robot catches a virus / Robot hacked by third party: CyberLife Corporation hacks the androids who rebel against their programming. What happens to their lover when they see this happen to the other person? Does it happen to them a second later? Can they resist it?
Connor & Sumo (hurt Connor) // Hank Anderson & Sumo (hurt Hank) // Markus & Sumo (hurt Markus)
I am a simple woman and I have simple needs: namely, I need cute comfort from an adorable dog! I love Sumo, he is so cute, and clearly, needs to get into shenanigans with as many characters as possible. He's been Hank's support system forever, so obviously he is an experienced caretaker and can help many of the hurt Androids/humans keep on fighting on through the sheer power of his comfort.
Bathing/Washing: Markus/Hank/Connor try to wash Sumo. It….does not go as planned. How many injuries do they have from trying to lift Sumo in? Can they dry him off?
Bedside Vigils/ Nightmares: Sumo keeps Connor/Hank/Markus company while they’re trying to sleep under considerable stress. Is he successful? Do they appreciate it or find it hard to take? If they have nad dreams, can Sumo help keep them calm somehow?
Bridal/Princess Style Carrying: Markus/Connor/Hank have to carry Sumo bridal style for – some reason? Why do they carry the dog? Is it hard to carry the dog? Does the dog go along with this or are they fighting a squirmy dog on top of it?
Refuse to Leave Other Character's Side: Sumo refuses to leave Connor/Hank/Markus for some reason – why? Are they annoyed by that or okay with it?
Connor & Amanda (hurt Connor)
I love the somewhat thorny relationship between Connor and Amanda; how she exists as a helpful guide in his head yet clearly is there to do him harm. I'd love to see some bad-touch comfort from Amanda, where she's encouraging him to do worse and worse things, and Connor struggles with emotional angst over feeling the advice is bad but also, how could it be bad when she's meant to advice him?
Character is replaced/possessed/mind controlled and no one notices: Amanda notices that Connor is rebelling and has him wiped and a new Connor deployed…and no one notices. Is there a small part of original Connor deep inside, trying to break the programming? What happens?
emotional breakdown: Connor loses it during one of his chat to chats with Amanda and winds up having an emotional breakdown. Does she comfort him at all? Or does she merely observes what happens?
Emotional Manipulation: I would love to see any take on Amanda’s subtle nudging of Connor in one way or another. Is he aware of being manipulated? Or is Connor easy to manipulate?
Nightmares: Connor has nightmares; Amanda’s program comforts him – but is it really any comfort to him, after he wakes up?> How bothered is he that whenever he has a nightmare, it’s Amanda’s face he sees after every horror show?
Realizing Your Universe is the Dystopia:: Connor realizes that CyberLife is what is keeping their universe in a horrible state, and rebels against his programming – how does his encounter with Amanda after that go? Does she have excuses?

Michael (The Good Place) & Ray Holt (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) (hurt Michael)
I just want to see these two interact somehow. Does Michael wind up in New York when he's trying to help his Humans and winds up maybe kinda sorta breaking the law? And/or breaking down in front of Holt? Does he meet Holt during the time knife? Is Holt one of the characters selected by the good place for the experiment in Mindy's backyard? I just need Captain Holt dealing with the Madness that is the good place's architect.
Awkward Comforter: Michael takes a wrong turn trying to get to his humans and winds up being picked up in Brooklyn because he's raving like a lunatic about finding these four humans. Holt thinks he's full of shit, but feels for him missing his group. Does Holt's dead-pan style help Michael realize where he's gone wrong?
Comforting Out of Obligation Turns Into Real Sympathy: Holt comforts Michael after seeing him casually do something odd enough to wind up arrested. To his surprise, the man he thought was a crackpot actually is uncomfortably relatable.
Comforter helps the hurt character hide panic/fears: Holt doesn't know about demons, or heaven, or hell, but he knows justice. And maybe he knows a bit more than Michael things.
Time Loop - Character Becomes Increasingly Unmoored: Michael winds up in a time loop trying to fix things for his humans. His behavior becomes less and less human as he keeps winding up in Brooklyn, despite trying very hard not to.
Recurring Amnesia - memories wiped upon death and revival Michael is killed and revived in Brooklyn -- but he has no idea what he is, only that there's something he's meant to be doing. Holt helps.
Demons: Holt accidently witnesses Michael doing a demon-thing and Michael is devastated to have failed as passing as a human on his first day. And thus Holt, who to this point has never believed in the supernature, has to comfort a panicked demon.
Near Death: Holt is near death and meets a supernatural being, but it's not what either expects of the encounter.

Hadestown

Greek Mythology

Detroit:Become Human

Crossover Fandom
