    Ancient Greek Religion & Lore

    Aphrodite/Hera

Honestly, my selfish reason for requesting this is that I think Hera honestly needs to have more orgasms. I can't imagine she's much satisfied by her loutish husband, and I'd love to see Aphrodite use her powers as the goddess of love to help Hera find the pleasure that lies in a realm outside that of her husband. Also, I feel like these two are often two of the most duplicitous goddesses - Hera often gets her revenge in the most scheming of ways, and Aphrodite often schemes to make characters fall in love. I would love to see these two team up for some sort of revenge -- or enjoy a complicated scheme together.

    Prompt ideas:

    * Aphrodite and Hera concoct a scheme to get revenge on someone for some perceived slight, in an incredibly complicated pattern where they have to work together. The problem is, of course, that one can only sit by the goddess of love and beauty for so long without noticing how attractive she is, and certainly also wanting to enjoy the fruits of her labor.

    * Hera goes to confront Aphrodite after Paris chooses Aphrodite's offer over Hera's. However, much to Hera's surprise, Aphrodite successfully reminds her of her charms -- even if Hera would rather be able to stay mad at the woman, rather than be seduced. Aphrodite, though, well, she's got seduction in spades, and she's quick-tongued enough to remind Hera of all her charms...

    * Aphrodite needs a favor. Hera makes her beg for it, and gets off on the begging almost as much as she does on the worship Aphrodite gives to her.

Group: Helen of Troy and Aphrodite

    Gen Relationship:

Helen is clearly "blessed" by Aphrodite in her beauty, but she's also used by Aphrodite as a bit of meat to give out as a prize to Paris, and this is somehow already the second abduction that the girl has weathered due to strange men falling in love with her. Helen shows a lot of hatred of herself when she's given time to do so in the Iliad: that isn't often, for Aphrodite is quick to use her powers on Helen, making her fall back in love with Paris. How do these two feel about one another? Does Helen feel she needs Aphrodite to survive, or does she pray the woman will lose interest in her soon? Does Aphrodite enjoy seeing her most beautiful girl, or is she jealous of Helen's beauty, and quick to " keep her humble" when she can? Is there ever a moment that changes their emotions toward one another, and if so, what emotion is it?

    Art Prompts:
    * Helen and Aphrodite being two sides of the same coin.
    * Aphrodite using her powers on Helen to fall in love with Paris.
    * Aphrodite blessing Helen.

    Romantic Relationship:

These are the two most beautiful women on Earth: Helen the (mostly) mortal, and Aphrodite the divine. It seems almost natural that no one could understand them better than one another, that no one understands that to be beautiful is both gift and curse. Is the relationship something pure, a meeting of two minds? Or is this more simply a manipulation on one of their parts, trying to curry favor with the other -- through any possible means? What sort of relationship would they have? And would their looks ever be a competition or purely eye candy for one another? Is there a difference between them due to the difference between mortal and immortal, or is it a thinner line between the two?

    Art Prompts:
    * Helen and Aphrodite sharing a bed.
    * Kissing/finding comfort in one another.
    * Aphrodite in all her awesome power, and Helen giving her worship.

    Aphrodite/Persephone

Persephone and Aphrodite have a weird relationship in various forms of canon. In some versions of the Hades and Permission myth, Hades is "inspired" to fall in love by Aphrodite instructing her son Eros to pierce him with a love arrow...all because she deeply resents the idea that Persephone might remain a virgin. Then in the Psyche myth, Persephone is someone who Aphrodite sends Psyche to with an arcane set of instructions - why? Then you have the stories where Aphrodite sends Persephone a beautiful youth in a trunk and both women eventually in love with Adonis. How do these two view each other? Are they friends or are they foes or maybe a little bit of both? I really would love to see some foe-yay between these two.

    Prompts:

    * Persephone resents being forced to marry Hades and tries to take her revenge upon the love goddess. Only problem? Aphrodite loves the "revenge" that Persephone has concocted, and no matter how much Persephone does it, Aphrodite just begs for more. (The method of revenge is up to you)

    * Persephone and Aphrodite meet at a part and make snippy little comments at one another while also noticing more and more how attractive the other is, and this culminates in a glorious hate-fuck in a stray corner/behind some column on Olympus.

    * Aphrodite and Persephone decide to resolve their differences after the whole Adonis complex...and somehow this turns to making out in bed, and more.

    Hadestown

    Persephone/Eurydice

Honestly, I just love Eurydice and Persephone so much and I wish that the musical gave us more time to develop the relationship between them. There are so many ways you could take this, and I would love to see pretty much all of them in all honesty. I feel like there's such a capacity for kindness between them - for Eurydice is encouraged by Persephone early on in "Livin' it Up on top, for Persephone is fighting for Eurydice during so much of Act 2 despite the risk to her, for Eurydice who believes so hard in love (as Persephone, depends down, believes in love) only for both of them to see it defeated by doubt at various points. And yet, there's room for cruelty too -- it's hard to forget how and why Eurydice came to Hadestown, and Persephone herself certainly has a harder edge, especially when it comes to getting even with her husband.

    Prompts:

    * Persephone and Eurydice's relationship post-Hadestown, where Persephone starts sleeping with Eurydice after Hades' drags her down early again as a way of getting revenge on Hades. How does Eurydice feel, being a plaything for this ancient, spiteful goddess? Does she live for the breath of springtime that Persephone brings into her life, or does she wish that Persephone would leave her alone to her afterlife? Does Persephone's attention lead to Hades' retribution against her? Does she still have any hope left, or is she just a shadow?

    * The Underworld fucks with Eurydice's ability to remember the past; being with Persephone gives her a few moments of clarity before she forgets again. Does Persephone think giving her this is a pity, or a punishment? Does Eurydice have any say in this happening, or is it all in Persephone's grasp? Does Persephone love her in some way? Hate her? Feel anything for her, or is it just a means to an end?

    * An AU where Persephone seduces Eurydice and parades her around Hades, rather than Hades doing such for her. How does she keep fanning the flames? Is Eurydice flattered, being this other woman? Or is she afraid of the goddess who toys with her, inducing a fury in another god just for the sheer fun/revenge of it all? Does Hades ever try to take action against Eurydice -- and if so, how does Persephone treat her? Does she intercede, or allow her lover to be thrown to the wind?

Group: Papa Ge and Ti Moune

I know this is not the ship you're meant to walk away with, but from the moment that Papa Ge sang that Ti Moune's soul already belonged to her, I was lost. I love, love, love the concept of a girl being a special god's toy play-thing and the god being really only into this for their own thing. Ti Moune having so much faith in the gods that it burns her, and Papa Ge being the most willing ot take advantage of that -- I would love to see just how Papa Ge does! She is so very merciless, after all, and yet -- Ti Moune is the one person to whom she shows some form of mercy, not once, but twice.

    Prompts:

    * An alternate ending where Ti Moune does kill her lover, and Papa Ge is so captivated at Ti Moune for proving her right in her bet that she takes on Ti Moune as a little reaper-in-training -- and as a lover. How do the gods react? How does Ti Moune? Does she ever regret this path, or is her fate much happier than it is in canon?

    * While Ti Moune is abandoned upside, Papa Ge comes calling, and successfully gets Ti Moune to give her her "love" to try to win over her bet twice-over, and despite the fact that Ti Moune does not love her, and finds her cruel. Fortunately, goddesses have no compunction about forcing humans to work to their will, and Ti Moune is a very pretty girl to bend to her will.

    * Papa Ge gets mad that Ti Moune became a tree, and visits her through time, inflicting pain upon her in an attempt to get her spirit to enact revenge on her. When Papa Ge finally does succeed in getting Ti Moune to appear, though, the woman's "revenge" is something she's very surprised -- but not displeased -- by.
